It was a Friday and I had just left my appointment I had the 3rd device installed dye to the first 2 malfunctioning! I go into work for three hours and I go to blow and the bottom connector just cones right off wires and all! I told the lady that it looked loose which she said was fine! I rushed back up to the shop to get it fixed replaced or whatever and they are closed? It's 435pm sign says 5pm is closing time. I'm not rich and an barely scraping g by in life and an Uber just isn't an option so I don't turn the car off until Saturday. I called the number numerous times and all they could say was sorry. This is unacceptable they need som e one who can take care of This stuff in the off hours! I have to work I have a family to feed and to hear sorry is so irresponsible and ridiculous from company that is supposed to keep the roads safe! I pay $125+ for the service and I keep getting junk! Now the whole bottom half came off cmon now. So now I have to.pay a tow truck to get it there Monday plus I'm careless for.2 days! Guardian needs to do more were talking about a person's livelihood here
Plus I ended up having to.miss work anyways for the cheap defective device they installed this time! Sounds like a lawsuit to.me.

The local franchise is great - Firmware Updates ruin the device, and make it fail.

The local franchise is great - the issue is with the device programming / firmware. When the device was first installed in December, all was as anticipated. A few months in, I started receiving Errors Codes. The unit would display "Low Battery". I was concerned about parasitic draw from the Guardian System. I went to the local franchise and they replaced the handset. Two weeks ago, coming back form picking up fast food, and, apparently, now that it is warmer, the unit does not recognize that the car has started, (local franchise tech informed me of a threshold voltage being 13.8) So, I mistakenly assumed I had an alternator problem, Two trips to my auto mechanic to find out that the Mercedes running voltage specification is 13.5 volts, and they would not replace an alternator that was working properly. SO now I've spent almost $300 on a battery for this unit. The unit shut downs and reboots requesting a blow - goes to "Start Engine" and never gets to "Drive Safely" before cycling all over as if i just got in the car, a mile down the road. This process sometimes happens three or four times, before I get a "Drive Safely" Graphic. Then there's the other firmware issue - the device no longer 1) displays a box around the Pass Checkmark, 2) No longer chimes when switching to "Drive Safely" 3) Doesn't initiate the internal "knocker" if the radio / ambient noise is too loud and I don't hear the first "blow" chime for a rolling retest like it did in the first thirty days of use.

Guardian has been incredibly frustrating and unaccountable from the very beginning.

Genuinely awful experience. From the installation through Guardian, to the customer service to making sure they are complying with the DMV. Absolutely no accountability. Guardian has been without a doubt, the worst part of the DUI process for me. I received different answers every single time I called looking for assistance.

This is robbery they are taking advantage of people who have no choice but to install this please go anywhere else but don’t go with Gaurdian bait/switch they’re sick and they lie without regard

DO NOT TRUST FHIS COMPANY! Every time I call customer service I get a different answer , more $$ tacked onto my bill , and nothing changes I still can’t get this machine off my car because it costs too much to remove there are half a dozen removal fees and other bs charges that NO ONE EVER EXPLAINS WHAT THE COST IF ANY OF THIS IS FOR OR THAT I AGREED TO PAY $4 a day for MY UNIT. I never agreed to that but I signed a receipt that was a contract without knowing or being told ANYTHING! I DONT KNOW WHY THESE CROOKS ARE STILL IN BUSINESS. EEVEWYTIME I CALL I AM ON HOLD FOR HOURS NO JOKE. I still have a faulty machine I had to get it reset 7 times in December and I have yet to receive a new machine or any deduction in my balance due to bull s. Violation charges . I have not violated anything not one time but my device can’t go one full week without reverting back to error message “lockout starts in however many days, reason?? violations” and this part is the kicker whenever that computer says they believe they don’t care what you say. I’m fighting with them again on the phone right now and I’m in tears because they keep talking over me telling me that my account has been reviewed by the billing department and that the charges are accurate. Nobody ever told me anything except the mechanic on my first time I had to payapparently that phone customer service that Wnedy didn’t get recorded because that was the one that I only paid half of what they were charging because I didn’t agree to four dollars a day! And their website says two dollars a day. Why are they charging me double?
These people take advantage of the fact that this is a court ordered or DMV ordered mandatory issue. They are taking advantage of people and it’s disgusting again. I’ve had a blurred breath and I was with lifesaver which is their parent company allegedly and it was $50 a month Not $148 plus all these bull s. fees … this is the worst part. There’s no way to talk to anybody beyond customer service. They said they’ll have a supervisor reach out to me. I’ve yet to have anybody reach out to me. Everybody I talk to is like talking in the same person there is no higher level to talk to you or location so you could show up and look at these people in the eye. I can’t continue here but I could go on for days this is the best part though just know that every time you call customer service you’re gonna be waiting minimum of a half an hour- but closer to an hour . Twice, I had to wait over three hours. How about when I had to wait over three hours twice in one day!! These people don’t care about you. They don’t care about your situation. All they care about what that computer says and it’s lies they input stuff that’s not true so that the next person can tell you that this is what happened when you know it isn’t what happened they don’t listen to the words that come out of your mouth. All they listen to is the crap in the computer that you didn’t even say but their interpretation of what happened and what they decide without acknowledging me !

The customer service over the phone is…

The customer service over the phone is the worst I've ever experienced in my life and I am 59 years old. On any given day if you have to call them you can expect anywhere from 20 minutes to two hour wait on hold. Then when that representative can't help you, you get put on hold again for another 20 minutes to 2 hour. This is on repeat. When you finally get someone they seem to be helpful and for the most part professional. As far as your car getting locked out for a missed blow. I'm notorious for this and the lockout end date on a holiday (this time I'm locked out on Christmas Day) or weekend. There are times and situations where a person can't get there before the end date then you're screwed. It would be great if you could do something to adjust when the dates and times for lock out happen. Fortunately, most people don't have to be on this program for very long but I myself am a lifer. Be more willing and able to work with us because this is expensive and time consuming.
