This was an all-inclusive package and it was great! The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We asked, upon checking in and going to the room, that the bathroom be cleaned. It was tidy, but not clean. Housekeeping was there in less than 10 minutes to "clean" the bathroom to my satisfaction.
Would recommend this package to travelers looking for an all-inclusive experience.

We had a wonderful time! The vacation package was just perfect for us to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. I had been looking on my own and then my Mom sent me your special of the week, which turned out so much better than anything I found. 5 star Hotel was incredible! She loved her Italian vacation thru Great Value Vacations so I knew it would be good, and it was!!! We will look you up next time too!

We had a cancelled flight because of a big storm. That caused us to miss a day in Dublin, but wasn’t anyone’s fault. Other than that, everything went smoothly, and we had a fabulous experience. All lodging arranged through GVV was really nice.

Wish the last day hadn’t been just travel because the hotel was just starting to offer fun activities & events.
Suggestion: access to hotel activities and ability to book dinner ahead of time would be helpful.

The level of communication and booking process was very good. The quality of the hotels were sub par and the lack of direction provided between airports/train stations and hotels was missing altogether. We are experienced travelers so we were able to move around but folks who are mot experienced may find this gap of information challenging.

The hotels were not 4 star at all. The location was less than par. They weren't clean at all. I expected better.
The excursions were boring and basic. Train rides were good. Flight was good
The last minute itinerary changes messed up us seeing Sagrada Familia .

The airlines chosen for this trip was air canada and it added so much more time in air for the trip then was necessary. The hotels chosen gave us the worst rooms possible with broken things in room in hidden corridors, the train ticket was booked for the wrong date, the tours that we booked we could barely understand the guide. The only amazing tour was the ancient Rome tour and our guide Alex was great. The hop on/hop off bus tour was with some obscure bus line and hard to find and didn't really do a good job of touring. Great value Vacations wasn't worth the money they charged for the vacation.

While the resort was very nice, I was disappointed with all the seaweed along the shoreline, and the smell it generated. I wasn't expecting the weather to be as hot and humid as it was either. The ride from the Cancun airport to the resort was also quite a bit longer that we expected. Other than that, the amenities, food, and service was pretty good.

I did not like GVV's choice of airlines - SATA Air Azores - I wish I would have been more hands-on RE flight times and luggage requirements. I ended up booking return flights on another airline (on my own at additional cost).
I did like (very much) GVV's choice of hotels in Madrid, Lisbon, and Porto - convenient locations, very nice establishments.

Great Value used a local Croatian tour company (Kompas) to deliver services. They were excellent. Always on time, friendly and efficient. When we encountered the only glitch in our itinerary (our catamaran was cancelled without notice), the porter who had wheeled our luggage to the dock waited with us while we negotiated to change our tickets for the ferry. Overall we love Great Value because their package includes everything we need for a great trip and nothing that we don't need.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Great Value Vacations for years, booking around 5–6 trips with them. Sadly, after my most recent experience, this will be the last.
I paid around $12,000 for a trip to Europe that included an "upgraded" hotel package. However, the first hotel we arrived at was anything but upgraded. The exterior was boarded up, the interior was worn, outdated, and the room was unacceptable: Stains on the carpet, a shower drain that didn’t function, old, damaged furniture. It was so bad we refused to stay there and immediately booked another hotel out of our own pocket.
When we returned, I reached out to Great Value Vacations to explain the situation and request a reasonable refund for that portion of the trip. At first, they responded quickly — but after that initial exchange, I reached out three more times and have been completely ignored. No updates, no resolution, no follow-through.
This experience is not only disappointing — it’s disrespectful to loyal customers. I gave them multiple chances to address the issue privately and fairly. Instead, I’m now left with a significant expense and zero accountability on their part.
I’m writing this review to help others make an informed decision. If you're considering booking with Great Value Vacations, be aware: the "upgrades" may not match expectations, and if something goes wrong, you may be on your own.

Very good destinations. Was able to add a couple of days to the basic, minimum package. Very good hotels. Hotels were well located. Tip: Use public transportation!!!
Only somewhat negative is that the rail travel between cities was late afternoon which burns a day in both the departure city and the arrival city. At the train station, they told me I could not exchange for an earlier train. So sit around for a couple of hours and WAIT.
Earlier rail reservations would have been better.

I want to leave a more positive review as I have had good interactions with the representatives. They have been responsive, and have followed up with me proactively. However, our flight was delayed by an airline and there was no good option to reschedule that flight in a timely manner. As a result, we were not able to go on our vacation. The airline company tells as we should contact the booking company for compensation for the delayed flight as we booked through them and the vacation company tells us we should reach out to the airline. In the end there is no resolution and we have no hope of getting any refund (even just for the delayed flight) or credit. I understand the company’s position that this is the airline issue for delayed flight, however, given we have booked through them, the airlines will not discuss with us directly and it has complicated the issue further for us in rebooking. In the end, we have no issue with this company but we will opt to book direct in the future as when things go wrong, no one will take responsibility.
Thanks for the offer to look into it, our code was: GVV294507

This is a turnkey experience with GVV via Globus. It started when we were met at the airport and escorted to the hotel. The Globus activities were well planned, nice locations selected, Colleen was a wonderful guide, and our meals were very good.

While we were very pleased GVV booked us into two very nice hotels for our trip to Como and Nice, one aspect of the trip was badly planned and cost us over $200. We could check out of our first hotel (one in Como) by 11 a.m. and had to return our car to Milan by 3 p.m. Then we looked more closely and discovered our train ticket was for 9 a.m.! This gave us no time at all to drive to a different location in Milan to turn in the car and then find our way to the train there. We therefore paid over $200 for 4 tickets for us to take a far-more-convenient-and-possible midafternoon train. The biggest part of the nightmare was that the car rental return address was inaccurate and phoning them didn't produce a human being speaking English (just a recording). Suffice it to say, we drove around Milan 1 1/2 hours before we could find the (unmarked) car rental return at the train station. We also had to pay $100 to return our car to a different location (we picked up our car at the airport but were instructed to deliver it to the location in downtown Milan) when it would have been so much simpler to return our car to the airport where we got it and take a bus or train to the train station. There was pleasure in this short vacation, but way too much frustration and anxiety, not to mention the extra expense.

Colombia was absolutely amazing!!! The tour staff and drivers were all amazing and hospitable throughout the entire trip. This is my second time using great vacation value for my trips and they have yet to disappoint me at all… From the hotels to the excursions and tour guides all amazing.

I am always wary of something that’s too good but in this case the booking and the trip was smooth and transparent. The all inclusive was truly one without any exceptions. The stay at Hilton Tulum, the airport transfers and the flights were all smooth. I would highly recommend great value and use them again.

Overall we had a really great experience! We traveled to Ireland and Scotland. We had a few minor issues that were able to be resolved quickly. They had trouble finding one of our hotel reservations, but that’s because it was booked under my travel companions name instead of mine. Bus tickets for Dublin didn’t have a QR code for the driver to scan, but he was able to type in manually to print our tickets. Last issue was a combination of an airline delay and a tight layover. I put part of that issue on Great Value Vacations, as there wasn’t another flight option to pick from. The airline was really accommodating and provided us 2 hotel rooms, meal vouchers and rescheduled our flight. I would use Great Value Vacations again! If you have to catch a connecting flight, just be mindful of the layover times.
