I had my surgery in 2023 and I couldn’t be happier. I had revision rhinoplasty, cat eye, upper and lower blepheroplasty and a corner lip lift. The staff was amazing from the time we got there (even accommodated my bf and I at the time when our luggage was lost at the airport). They were fabulous ! I felt safe and comfy the entire process. Dr. Gorkem was extremely kind, meticulous and confident in all the procedures we had discussed. The results have been amazing! My face looks refreshed and I couldn’t be happier ! At 66 years of age, I decided to put some youth back into my face. After exhaustive research I found Doctor Atsal. I had previously sent enquiries to Bangkok, Mexico and to a few other doctors in Istanbul. I was even rejected by one doctor who stated that I was too old. We decided on what procedures would be best for me. This included a deep plane face and neck lift, Blepharoplasty, and a hair transplant.

The staff in Doctor Atsal's practice were extremely accommodating. They met me at the airport, got me settled into the hotel and took all of my nervousness away straight off.

Most of my online contact was with Sahar. She made my stay very comfortable and dealt with my daily barrage of questions. I cannot thank her enough. But this also holds true with every member of the staff that I interacted with. Each and e very one of them was great.

The process is straight forward. There are no endless appointments and discussions. Everything you will have done will be arranged during your online consultations and the photos you send. You will have one visit to the hospital for a medical evaluation and the next morning you will meet Doctor Atsal and he will get right into the procedure. The hospital was clean and the staff was attentive, the language was sometimes a barrier so I would recommend downloading a translation app to your phone. I spent one night in the hospital and did most of my recovery in the hotel.

My hair transplant took place about 5 days later. This procedure was performed in a state of the art clinic with some amazing staff.

I am 5 months into recovery and my results are really taking shape. My hairline has been restored and I have been told that 15 years have been taken off my face. I do have some persistent numbness on the sides of my face, but I'm told it will take some time as Dr. Atsal did some extensive pulling of those muscles to tighten up my chin. My scarring has for the most part cleared up. I had been using a little makeup to conceal them, but I stopped using it last week.

Everyone's journey will be different. The one thing I learned from all this is that you must be patient for your results to show, but keep in mind that eventually everything will take shape. Spitting sutures, itching, numbness and some minor pain and discomfort are all a part of the healing process.

Doctor Atsal is an excellent surgeon in my humble opinion. He is also a very good person who is easy to talk with. He constantly had me back in his office or the hospital to check on my recovery and he genuinely cared about my well being right up to and including the morning of my departure. I left Istanbul feeling like I had new friends.

If you are contemplating having this done, just do it. You will not regret your decision.

Absolutely phenomenal. I went to Dr. Gorkem searching for a younger appearance. Little did I know he would be able to take off 20 years off the radar. I never liked the idea of plastic surgery and I wasn't really looking forward to it, it takes a bit of courage if you ask me, but it certainly pays off, I feel much more confident with my new appearance and that really affects your attitude towards life, to feel nice with yourself is something that really has power. And I owe it all to Dr.görkem's team of professionals and his fabulous work. They really enjoy what they do and they do it greatly.

I came to Dr Atsal for Rhinoplasty after doing lots of research online. While i was here we discussed some other cosmetic concerns i had and decided on further procedures. When i mentioned a facelift he guided me away from that and said i didn't need it. Im very happy with the results, service and price i paid. His team were so friendly and helpful. I broke my nose leaving it severely crooked and after some research, decided to go to Turkey to have it fixed by Dr. Gorkem Atsal. The entire experience from the first message to the aftercare was amazing.

I messaged back in September 2024 in regard to a breast augmentation. I received a response straight away and was advised a breast lift would also be necessary for the desired result. I was advised on the exact procedure and paid a deposit. Seher kept in touch with me and once I had confirmed my flights, I was sent accommodation confirmation.

I was collected from the airport and taken to all my appointments. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, I travelled alone for surgery.

The consultation with the surgeon was great and he knew exactly the look I wanted. After pre checks I was taken to surgery and woke up with a visit from one for the reps checking I was ok as they knew I was travelling alone, and also kept checking on me in person and via message. The aftercare was good and the nurses were helpful at the hospital.

I have recommended to friends and should I require surgery in the future, I will definitely return.

I am blind in my left eye following blehpharoplasty (upper and lower eyelid) and neck lift surgery at this clinic in Istanbul. Both my right and left eye received deep cornea abrasions during the procedure. The doctor has been unable or unwilling to tell me how this happened. I have seen multiple ophthalmologists and cornea specialists since being back in the U.S. who tell me the most likely scenario is that they allowed my corneas to dry out so badly that any minor touch of my cornea would result in these deep abrasions. There is no way to know, because nobody from the clinic is telling me what happened. I have learned that the cornea has five layers. Both abrasions go 2 1/2 layers into my cornea and the left abrasion spans the entire cornea. I have partial vision in my right eye because the area of the abrasion is not as large and is in one quadrant. It has been over a month since the procedure. I was put in contact lenses to protect the remaining cornea layers, am on antibiotic drops four times per day, have to take a daily anti viral oral medication, have to use erythromycin gel at night and wear a sleep mask to protect my eyes. I am also on pain medication for significant left eye pain. While at the clinic in Instanbul I told the doctor and multiple staff multiple times that I could see nothing. That I was blind. They repeatedly told me the gel they use during surgery causes some temporary blurriness for about 3 days. I explained over and over that it was not some blurriness and we were well behind 3 days. It was blindness. They repeatedly told me that it would get better. Not once did they have anyone look at my eyes. Even after 8 days post surgery when I could see nothing, the Dr messaged me to give it 3-4 more days. That would have been 11-12 days post surgery. Thankfully I didn’t listen to him and immediately went to an emergency eye clinic at the hospital after I got back to the U.S. They saw me immediately. I have had to go 2x per week. They are monitoring the healing of the abrasions, but have noted that my left cornea is healing with ripples in it. It is not smooth. For this reason they have discussed the potential of either laser surgery or a cornea transplant, but they have to first give it a few months to see the final outcome. Prior to the surgery I had 20/15 (better than perfect in my right eye and 20/25 (near perfect vision in my left eye). Now I am 20/40 in my right eye and what I have come to know is CF in my left. CF means counting fingers. From 4 feet (about 1.3 meters away) I can tell how many fingers someone is holding up, if they hold them up against a light background. I can not see letters on a chart and cannot read fingers if they are standing farther away.

I also had major trauma to my larynx from the intubation or extubation that had me coughing up blood and had throat pain for over a week. They took me twice to an ER (one time at 1 am) to see an ENT for my throat to be scoped, but neither time was an ENT available. I was in ICU for two days post surgery. My family was worried sick, because I was supposed to text them after the surgery, but as I went right from surgery to ICU, I could not contact them. They messaged one of the numbers I gave them to ask my status and was told that I was resting comfortably. I certainly was not. I was gasping for every breath with negative pressure pulmonary edema (fluid on my lungs). No explanation of how this rare complication happened either, but given the trauma my larynx experienced, doctors in the US believe they are linked (but again, the clinic offers no explanation as to what happened). They asked me to extend my stay due to the coughing up of blood, but I knew I had to get back to the U.S. Nobody there was addressing my deep blindness concerns or even looked at my eyes. The doctors in the US said that if they had even just looked at my eyes it would have been extremely apparent.

My decision to have plastic surgery at this clinic is clearly the worst decision I have ever made.

I've had 2 surgeries at Dr Gorkem Atsal Clinic, one for my breast implant and a double chin lipo and I am 100% satisfied with everything they've done for me, the whole team is AMAZING and also they will look after you very well, I had VIP transport (airport and back, clinic also ) and the accommodation they provide is a 5 star hotel which was probably the best place to stay in Istanbul ( great breakfast too)I am glad l've found and chosen this clinic and I recommend it to you all ! I would definitely come back to them in the future if I wanted any other surgeries done!
