The staff and the quality workmanship…
The staff and the quality workmanship is beyond words. The pictures say it all. But also the efficiency with this service they provide is all 10's no 5's. I would highly recommend this company to all or anyone looking for great work. A big thanks to the most courteous staff out there!....L. Kenney/Dylan Gibson

Absolutely terrible experience
Absolutely terrible experience! Took my vehicle on Thursday morning after making an appointment. They then never called, texted or updated. I had to call multiple times for an update. Then after 1 week, they stated that they would finally be getting to an estimate. Meanwhile I have been in a rental car and when they were told about this they were indifferent and casually quoted industry standards and that I was lucky to have their service. When they finally had an estimate, they called and asked if we wanted their estimate in a flippant and condescending manner. When they were then called to manage this and asked for a call back on multiple attempts, no call or text was returned. Finally had to pick up vehicle and they were again indifferent and even the GM Lindsay remained in her office, never apologized or sought to make amends. Overall a horrendous experience. We are now taking the vehicle to a reputable site. You would be better off going to a junkyard. By the appearances of the facility, I’m looking for Fred Sanford to come out! Disappointed!

DO NOT USE THIS COMAPNY
DO NOT USE THIS COMAPNY! Our truck went in for MINOR dents caused by the Hurricane 10k and now it is a total loss due to Gerbers negligence..(70k?) 🤔 The insurance company only wants to pay us for what the truck would be worth now...NOT the way it was brought in. They have lied to the insurance company and to us. They said the 2 inches of water and the inside COMPLETELY covered in mold was to to a windshield crack. Our truck did not have a windshield crack...then they tried and backtrack blaming it on the glass company saying maybe there was a gap when they took the windshield out. ( I'm hoping the glass company sees this and stops working with them.! ) When my husband went to retrieve keys from our truck there was so much mold and water the keys were rusted!! the top was off no windshield no plastic no cover Nothing! complete disregard for their customers personal property! The manager who is completely dismissive said it was covered...where? Where is the tape where is the plastic where are the plastic on the seats during tear down?? This company should NEVER BE USED!! Take your money and go elsewhere! Also if your insurance company says you need to use this body shop please DO NOT!! We have gotten the run around since DECEMBER and the stress it has caused from Gerber I wouldn't wish on my enemies! We have before and during pictures that tell a whole mother story!

I had an incredibly frustrating…
I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Gerber Collision. I brought my vehicle in for panel repair, and while they claimed it was fixed, it clearly was not. I did my due diligence and pointed out that the repaired panel was noticeably larger than the matching fender on the opposite side. They took it back, supposedly to correct the issue—but within less than five minutes, they returned it and claimed it was “fixed.” Nothing had changed. It was a total scam.
I requested that a Gerber representative take a closer look. She told me they had "changed the bracket" and that "this is how it is"—essentially telling me to take it or leave it. That level of unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable. When I asked for proof of the so-called defective parts or even just photos, they had nothing to show. That speaks volumes.
I’ve disputed the payment through my credit card and will be getting fully reimbursed due to Gerber’s dishonesty and failure to provide the service I paid for. Shame on them for treating customers this way and thinking they can get away with such behavior.
I won’t be returning, and I strongly advise others to think twice before trusting them with your vehicle.

Horrible!!!!
Do not recommend.
My 74 year old Mother who recently lost her husband and is battling breast cancer was rear ended on I-459. Nationwide forced an estimate from one of their people and Gerber (Bessemer location) was on the list. 30 minutes before my Mother’s first appointment, they called and cancelled. She rescheduled for an afternoon appointment. Shelly called that morning asking her to bring it in within one hour. That wasn’t possible. When reminded of the afternoon appointment, she stated there was no appointment scheduled.
I called the third time and got an appointment for 9:00 a.m. Upon arrival, Shelly said “I thought your appointment was at 10:00.”
The excuses to the insurance company were “Weather, internet down and bad connections.” I don’t believe any of the three.
There was nearly $7,000 worth of damage to the vehicle and their estimate was a complete joke. Thousands less than the repair would cost.
Gerber is the cherry on top after dealing with Nationwide. My mother is not well. She didn’t need the run around or any extra stress. You guys really need to do
Update: Shelly contacted my Mother and was angry. She said we were supposed to pick up our rental car from them. Ha! We picked it up from Enterprise. She also mentioned me, her daughter. Shelly, do not call my Mother again! If you do, you will be hearing from me.

Gerber Collision Did Wonders on My Vehicle
Gerber Collision Repair on Foster Drive in McDonough, Georgia did an AMAZING job on my 2018 Altima! Huge High-Fives to Randi, who was my service advisor. She was absolutely great, professional, friendly, and communicative throughout the entire process.

Terrible
Terrible!
I purchased a car that had minor front end damage (drivable) and came in for an estimate as I was paying out of pocket. Advisor came out with an attitude and the personality of an undertaker. Asked where I purchased it and I said an auction and he snapped back that he wouldn't even look at it. Rude and unprofessional. I will surely be sharing my experience elsewhere to warn people of your lack of customer service/professionalism.

When I first looked at this company to…
When I first looked at this company to repair my vehicle, I saw numerous reviews about how well they communicated with their clients. I wish I could say I had the same experience.
I was in a head on car accident 12/9/24, the damage was pretty severe to my car. Going through the insurance I requested Gerber for the repairs after hearing their reviews. I feel like this was the first mistake.
According to their text message update system, the repairs to my car were supposed to be completed 1/17/25. I received a text message from them on 1/9/25 saying “Hi Jordan, we are nearing completion. If we encounter any delays, we’ll call you.”
1/17/25 - I called the office to confirm what time my vehicle would be ready for pickup, the receptionist Judy said that the estimated completion was now 2/3/25. I was understandably confused and requested to speak with the mechanic for the case - Chris.
On the call with Chris he said that the radiator he ordered arrived cracked and they had to wait for a new one. Fine by me, but would have appreciated an update. I further requested regular updates on how it's progressing. After being blindsided by a delay that should’ve been told to me, I think this is understandable. According to Chris, the estimated date of completion was “middle of next week” (1/21-1/22).
After this phone call I did receive regular updates from Chris who was supposedly managing this repair.
On 1/23 I was told by Chris “We’re just about there. It’s looking like we’ll have it ready for the calibrations late tomorrow morning. I have the request set up, so everything should be pretty streamlined.”
On 1/24 I reached out about the status of the calibrations. I received a text from Chris stating “They actually haven’t made it out here yet. That's a good thing though, we just got it all buttoned and ready maybe 20 minutes ago. They’ll be here this afternoon to do them. I’ll let you know once they arrive.”
At 3:05 PM on 1/24 I received another text from Chris stating “I just called the calibration company to get a timeframe. They let me know their mobile tech. Has been tied up on the same one all afternoon. They’re doubtful that he’ll make it out to me by the end of the day”
I proceeded to call Chris and hear it from him verbally, he told me the calibration was delayed because the unit was stuck fixing “some european car” all day. Following this phone call I did request the manager give me a call, and decided to take a trip up to the shop to see the status of the car.
And I'm glad I did.
I arrived to the shop about 30 minutes after the phone call and was greeted by Chris stating “Ok, I was wrong” he did not go out to see the car at all, and “I was severely misinformed.”
I was brought out to the shop to see my car missing the front bumper.
How is that “buttoned up and ready to go?”
I requested to speak to the manager (Cornell) after this discovery. The phone call that ensued involved the manager saying that he took over repairs of my car, not informing anyone I can only assume. That he ‘didn't like the way the fit of 2 ends caps were’ and ‘had them replaced’ - thus requiring the bumper to be removed. This was never informed to anyone apparently, as the supposed mechanic Chris didn't even know the status of the vehicle he was giving me updates on. They were very apologetic during this meeting, but that can only go so far. The new updated completion time is now 1/30. We shall see if this is actually the end of this situation.
To their credit they did extend my current rental car (after having my car for 44+ days).
From the initial delay that was not mentioned to me until the date of pickup, to the numerous followup delays, to the state my car was in when I was told it was “all buttoned up” with the bumper missing. Due to the sheer lack of communication from this company, I cannot recommend them to anyone, and will actively steer people clear of this business.

Awful, lying company who constantly makes excuses that it's not their fault.
I'm putting this review across all the social media sites I know.
My insurance company sent me to Gerber for my no-fault accident to my driver and passenger side. "Ever since they worked on my car, it's never worked the same again."
They did a good job with the exterior work. However, when you have "internal issues" after they fixed it, they would just lie and make excuses that it's the make and model of my car. They say my issues are not due to the major impact on my car - Lies.
When I discovered they never hooked up my "left turn signal," making me drive without one, they didn't even apologize to me. Two people I spoke about this, the receptionist and another service specialist. No apologies or acknowlegement "for their mistake" from either one of them. I could have gotten into another accident without my turn signal.
When I told them my car no longer beeps like it did "before" I came to them, they said my car never had this set up and to go back to Honda. Honda says all cars beep when you hit the keyfob - Another lie.
They also never secured the "liners" under my car causing the liners to scrap and drag when driving.
The other major issues I've had was my car "alarm" that would always go off by itself.
When I spoke to them again about this, their excuse is "it's a common issue with my make and model" - Another lie according to Honda.
Then when I tried to get them to look at my alarm system that kept going off, they said the diagnostic cost is $350 and that doesn't apply to the repair costs like other autoshops do.
I had to pay out of pocket to fix my alarm. The stereo company that fixed my alarm issues said it was the sensors that got "knocked off" due to the major impact to my car.
I even spoke to another customer I met at an auto shop saying this company is awful and will never go back.
All they do is make excuses after excuses (lies) that it's not their fault. They didn't hook up things right when they finished my car. And I know the impact of my major accident caused these other internal issues that they don't want to fix and make things right.

Subpar work and won’t provide transportation
I recently had work done on my front and rear bumpers, and the quality is disappointing—there's excessive orange peel, making it look like it was done by an amateur. When I tried to schedule an appointment to have it corrected, Gerber refused to provide a loaner vehicle, even though they need my car for the entire day. I have work and other commitments and can’t spend the whole day waiting. It’s unfair that I should bear any costs or inconvenience due to their subpar repair work.

Unprofessional
Very difficult to work with. Wouldn't give me a window of when they would be coming out to do the work. Had to replace parts 3 different times as they were using off brand parts. Was yelled at by staff. Highly unprofessional.
