Just got the new mesa knee pads. The extra large ones. They previously had a larger size for the last g form e line guards. They had protected me for the most part until I did at whistler and had a nagging injury in my knee for months. That’s with therapy.
Any ways, the mesa guards feel tight initially. The XL feels small but seems like g form is the only brand that consider larger thigh sizes. Hopefully they stretch. Also when stretching in my pads and to test if the impact will be where it goes, it feels abrasive. They did consider an inner strap and more protection along the McL and lcl ligaments, more of the shin and a bit of your lateral(outside)leg. That’s good. I hope the impact when I do fall, will not be hard and keep me intact. This is a review I will update over time. These are my initial thoughts. Cheers to the customer

My son races bmx and I got this for protection. He hasn't crashed yet with it but it fits well and he says it's comfortable. He's 12 and usually wears a youth 14, we got him an adult small and it fits well. The reason I gave it four stars is because it is so hard to take off after a race (when he's sweaty) it's a two person job for sure.

It didn’t really fit well on me. Velcro straps are cheap. Overall not a bad product but I just don’t thinks it’s for me. My issue was with the return process. Making me pay for shipping is wild.

The sizing chart was not very accurate (it ran quite small for this item) and return service was a little slow.
I do like the product a lot. It's not too bulky under race pants but covers the hips well.

These are the best shin guards. They don't dig into my leg and they stay in place.

I had an accident and had developed Compartment Syndrome and eventually MRSA. This led to two large skin grafts on both sides of my lower right leg. I was afraid to do certain activities that could lead to injuries to the skin graft areas, which was covered by very thin skin, new skin. I found these G-Form shin guards that are perfect for covering these sensitive areas that I can put in my socks. Although I have, thankfully, not tested the shock resistance, I feel better protected against injuries to these senstitive areas with these between my skin grafts and the items that could re-injure my leg! Thank you for your product! I now own three pairs and went snowmobiling this year without fear of my leg getting hit with loose ice, stones or sticks sticking out of the snow and ice and injuring my leg, above and inside of my snowmobiling boots!
