EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE

The team provided exceptional service, prioritizing my safety and remaining on the line until a tow truck was secured. The tow truck operator promptly contacted me and arrived within twenty minutes. Upon confirming the destination, I was offered the option of riding with the driver or leaving the vehicle. The operator instilled confidence in the security of my vehicle. This was a highly professional experience.

AVOID this company!!!

My experience with Fortegra insurance, which was added to my used van purchase, has been disappointing. The contract is vague and difficult to understand. Despite assurances from the dealer that the policy would cover all parts, this was not the case.

A month after purchasing the van, I encountered a breakdown that required the vehicle to be towed from Germany to the Czech Republic. I had to use my own van insurance to cover the towing, as Fortegra's policy did not cover this service. I then submitted an estimate for repairs totaling 70,000 Kč, which also included the cost of another tow from my home to the nearest service provider. However, Fortegra declined the claim, stating that the damaged part was not "greased" and therefore not covered.

I attempted to dispute their decision, but nothing changed. Additionally, I requested reimbursement for the towing cost from my home to the repair shop, citing the coverage in the contract. This request was denied on the grounds that since the claim was fully declined, the towing cost was also not eligible.

This experience has taught me a hard lesson: Fortegra insurance is dishonest and unreliable scamming insurance company. I strongly advise against purchasing any policy from them, as you are likely to receive no compensation if something goes wrong. Save yourself the trouble and potential financial loss - look for more reputable insurers.

I recently purchased a 3-year extended…

I recently purchased a 3-year extended warranty from Guard It Fortegra, which explicitly stated coverage for tears, spills, scratches, rips, cuts, gouges, and scuff marks when I purchased it. However, when I filed a claim due to the cushions sinking, fabric pilling, and stains, the technician came out, took pictures, and the insurance company denied my claim. They stated that they no longer cover stains, sinking, and pilling.

Based on my experience, I would strongly advise against purchasing this warranty. It appears designed to deny all claims and effectively steal your money. I consider it a waste of both time and money, as you will likely not receive the coverage you were promised.

I purchased a Maytag dryer and washer…3yr Extended Warranty through Fortegra

I purchased a Maytag dryer and washer from Badcock in Feb. 2023. I also purchased a 3yr warranty for each appliance. The Maytag 3yr extended warrty was $249.99 and the Maytag dry 3yr extended warranty was $199.99 and these extended warranties are through Fortegra. On Feb. 24 2025 my dryer went out. I reached out to Fortegra and they sent my claim to a company named Vehtechnology. Vehtech reached out to me on Feb. 25 2025 it tool a couple of days for them to get things started. Ihad to wait for the part to mailed to me and when I received the parts I had to I had to call them it took a couple of days for them to send a tech out to work on my dryer. On March 12 2025 a tech came out and worked on my dryer after working on it, my dryer started smoking from on the inside and set off all of my smoke detectors off in my home. I called Vehtech back. The communication is awful for these companies. I left messages, voicemails for someone to call me back. Finally I called and spoke with a Mr. Harris after I told them I was reporting them to the BBB. Harris told me that someone would be out on March 27 2025 no one showed up until the next day. When the next tech came out he could not fix my dryer because another different part had to be ordered. It is April 2 2025 and I am still waiting on a part for my dryer to be fixed. I called Fortegra and tried to talk to them but they were no help. At this point I want a full refund back for my extended 3yr warranties ack for my dryer and my washer. I could have went out and purchased a new dryer by now. This is not good customer service from either company and they both are giving me the run around.

WOW.......

WOW. My insurance agent hooked me up with Lyndon southern INS. which is affiliated with fortegra. Won't let that happen again. You would think with all these negative reviews they would at least try a little better. No pride in their work or company. They just want a pay check for the crappy work they do.

POLICY NOT WORTH BUYING

My personal experience with this Insurance company.
A 3 year policy was taken out with the puchase of an approved used car. First claim involved a slight damage to the alloy wheel (which was previously diamond cut). This meant a further diamond cut was not possible, but a new replacement for£750/-. The company will only contribute £150/- towards the claim and not the full amount. For tyre cover, insurance will contribute £50/- per repair, and £300/- maximum. BEWARE, THIS INSURANCE TO BE AVOIDED. IT IS NOT WORTH IT.

I wish I could give them negative…

I wish I could give them negative stars. I feel sorry for anyone with a policy with Fortegra, it isn’t worth the paper it is printed on. I had a water leak inside a wall that I did not discover until it had molded. Guess what- not covered because I cannot see through walls and it took me over 48 hours to discover it.

TERRIBLE

TERRIBLE. 1st claim denied. They said what happened and I said I don't know all the stitches are coming out of the couch. They asked how did it happen? Was it from normal wear and tear? I said I don't know send a technician out to assess. They said sounds like normal wear and tear. Denied! 2nd claim for accidental pet damage (says it's covered on brochure). Sends tech out this time. He puts in for parts to fix issue. Denied! They sent email showing small print that said not covered for pet damage. Terrible company! Save your money to hire someone to just fix your furniture.

They rejected our claim for a repair…

They rejected our claim for a repair since the warranty expired on a Saturday (when they were not open to file a claim) and I called the following Monday. This was even after I personally contacted the store, where we bought the power recliners from, to see what I should do about the issue with the power button. The store gave me the number to call which I did - on a date in which Fortegra was open.

They have 0 stars

I can't even give it a one star, I wouldn't recommend for nobody. This company is the worst that I've known, very disrespectful. I've been paying for furniture coverage with them for 3 years and my dinning set only has one year and it's all scratched up and they sent a technician who came with a marker to cover it up which I denied it because covering it up with a marker doesn't take away the fact that the wood is still exposed. Since I denied the technician's help they denied my claim for a dinning set that's all scratched up everywhere and has been discontinued in store for the same reason. I repeat this company is the worst.

They are literally a scam

They are literally a scam. Denied my claim twice. I purchased a set through rooms to go and added insurance as I have small kids at home. I had the dining set for just about a year, the paint started chipping on the table and so they had someone come in check, they denied the claim saying that it’s basic wear and tear. I had them do a second review because I was told that the insurance should cover that. When the person came to check the furniture, he said it wasn’t basic wear and tear and that it should be covered. Sure enough, two weeks later, they denied the claim. Seems like they’re doing everything to avoid replacing or fixing the furniture. Do not recommend.

Bought insurance to cover a storage…

Bought insurance to cover a storage unit. The unit got stolen and completely wiped clean. They want a proof of "tampering" inside the unit and the lock area to accept the claim. How does one get proof of tampering when the lock was cut and the contents of the unit and the cut lock all were taken away.. This insurance is uneless
