Having had little to no experience in selling ‘antiques’
I took a few items to Fieldings Stourbridge. I was extremely impressed firstly from the welcome to the Auction House which was clean and expertly laid out. I was offered a hot drink and shown into the office where my valuations by Rachel, a Director, were given privately.
At no point did I feel silly and her advice was tactful and honest.
Hopefully, after going up into the attic, I will be visiting Fieldings again

Expert or What !
July 2024
I made an appointment to have some jewellery valued,
expert? looked at items gave me no valuations but wanted me to leave them ,I refused ,was then asked if he could take photos of said pieces (which I had already sent before they would give me an appointment
He admired a beautiful diamond and Tansanite ring which he wrongly said was a Sapphire.Photos taken, I was more than happy to take my items back home . I have not heard anything back from them . No surprise there!

Truly amazing day !
I flew over from Cork to attend the Claris Cliff auction with my son .the whole day was mind blowing!! Staff so attentive and knowledgeable and friendly . Had the pleasure of meeting the one and only Will Farner .never say so long as he took over the auction . He gave me such a warm wet as my son had told him I was travelling over for it!! The atmosphere was something else and I really want to return next year if I’m still alive!Willwas a really excellent auctioneer and he showed such a passion for all the items he was selling. Super man with excellent staff. I wish them all continued success . Barbara Holloway

Enjoyable and rewarding
Selling at auction can seem a daunting prospect for the first-timer, but from valuation to sale Fieldings made my experience enjoyable and rewarding. Valuation of my 800-plus vinyl singles was arranged by phone and when I took them to the company’s offices in Stourbridge I found vinyl specialist Rachel Holland a pleasure to deal with. After an initial appraisal of my records, I was happy to leave them with her for a more detailed assessment. A few weeks before the auction I was given a detailed breakdown of how the collection would be divided into lots, along with reserve figures and estimates. I was able to watch the online auction, during which every lot was sold above the initial estimate. I received payment promptly as expected. Since then I have been pleased to entrust Rachel with a collection of my vinyl albums and look forward very much to seeing them go to auction. I highly recommend Fieldings if you are thinking of selling or buying at auction.

Professional, friendly & excellent communication.
I contacted Fieldings Auctioneers for a valuation, as well as a couple of other auction houses. Fieldings were the only company to reply and were very helpful with a valuation and background history. Since then I have contacted again Will of Fieldings and he has been very quick to reply and extremely helpful with valuations. I would definitely highly recommend this Auctioneer for valuations and professional advice.

One of the best auctioneers in the Midlands
Very friendly, enthusiastic, approachable staff with extensive knowledge of their markets and spot-on valuations. I’ve been using Fieldings Auctioneers for several years and have always found their service to be excellent; nothing is ever too much trouble and they go out of their way to make sure their clients are happy.
A clean, tidy, well organised auction room with everything nicely laid out for viewing and plenty of experts on hand for those requiring a little more information on specific lots. A strong online presence with good photographs and accurate descriptions to assist those unable to view in person. Fair, competitive, transparent rates of commission; there are no hidden surprises here.
Clear, precise, easy to follow auctioneering which motors along like a well-oiled machine, sprinkled with lively entertaining banter. This is a very professional outfit; a great auction house to deal with and probably one of the best in the Midlands. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. You might just see a few famous faces too!

Don't be fooled by seeing them on tv!
Had dealings with them in the past things mysteriously go missing or get broken.after they deny all knowledge 🤔. If selling with them watch them like a hawk.list every single item, take photo of every item and watch charges!

Great Auction Experience
Thanks to Will Farmer and the team for the sale of our Clarice Cliff collection. Will was spot on with the valuations as was reflected in the hammer price on the sale day. Could not fault the attention to detail or the very smooth sale process, would recommend Fieldings without reservation anytime.

Art-excellent service and knowledge.
I’ve been an occasional buyer of art. I don’t live locally and from my experience discussing lots in more detail or having further photos sent has been very good.
I’ve also contemplated the sale of a few pictures and I’ve found their art specialists attention and knowledge excellent.

I sent over 200 dolls to auction and in a year they auctioned nine. I asked for the boxed dolls to be sent back, they sent my entire collection back ! I reported a valuable doll as broken on return and received no response. The doll was bubble wrapped but her broken hand and leg were in a different box, proving that she was broken in their care. Since then they have ignored my requests for compensation. I'm afraid that after my experience I wouldn't use them again.

I recently sent my collection of…Scandinavian glass and MCM ceramics.
I recently sent my collection of Scandinavian glass and other MCM items half way across the country for auction because I had heard Fieldings 'knew their stuff' and treated both vendors and buyers respectfully. The advice I was given wasn't wrong. Good people and a vibrant, busy saleroom ensured satisfaction. Not generally one to leave reviews but credit where it is due.

What an excellent firm Fieldings are
What an excellent firm Fieldings are. I have bought bits of jewellry and other things in their on line auctions for some years now. Although this is only occasionally and I live a long way from their base the quality of service is always exceptional and personal which is great in this day and age. Everyone from the office crew to the directors are helpful and responsive which is great. Dealing with this company is a pleasure.

Absolute waist of time when it comes to 1980s Japanese toys .as a prospective seller they Was very acomandating at the beginning so I trusted them as you would need to with such a rare collection. But from then on it went very wrong ! They give me the wrong day of the auction and ignored my emails regarding my listing s and even damaged some of the original packaging. Plus they left what didn't sell on their receiption floor loose ! Basically I lost big time and I have proof as I took pictures before and after . They refused to except any liability and was rude to me .
