First of all, shoutout to Sage especially through the entire process of helping me get set up with my online coaching app for my business. From dealing with issues w/ Apple, technical difficulties, and obstacles that challenged my business at every turn, she helped me through each hurdle with incredible guidance and extreme timeliness. The Exercise team was very helpful throughout the entire migration and platform/app set up process. Our Client Success manager Layne was a such a great help and resource to have along the way. We came across some challenges with the platform we were swapping over from but the Exercise team was with us supporting along the way. Very excited for the future opportunities to come with Exercise!

Lost 16 clients and a ton of time I'll never get back
My experience with exercise.com over 5-6 months was very poor. I genuinely hope my case was an exception, but it was bad enough that I feel compelled to share.
- I lost 16 online clients during the transition from Trainerize to exercise.com. Many of my clients found exercise.com's app confusing—for example, they struggled to find their workout data from week to week, and messaging was unreliable. I’ve since returned to Trainerize, and 90% of my remaining clients have expressed how relieved they are to be back on a platform that works for them.
- Messaging on the app was a disaster from the start. Only about half of my clients were able to message me through the app. Most messages were routed as emails instead, creating serious communication issues. This went on for six months while the support team repeatedly said they couldn’t replicate the problem. To my shock, they eventually asked to close the ticket despite the issue never being resolved.
- The app’s launch was flawed. Users were able to download all my template programs as PDFs through the web version, leading to significant business losses.
- Communication from exercise.com was extremely poor. My account manager and the technical team were often unresponsive. At one point, I heard nothing from them for over two weeks, even though I had active support tickets with urgent problems during my app’s launch.
In summary, I took a chance on creating an app with exercise.com because they are a leader in the space. Unfortunately, I was let down. Perhaps they’ve become too large and slow to provide the support I expected, even though I gave them six months to address these issues. I do know colleagues who use their services without problems, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend them.

Room for Improvement - SURE!
All in all, to say my experience is a 5/5 would be lying. Exercise.com is only getting 3 stars from me as we've had a heck of a first year together. Now to be clear, the support I have received 5/5! My Account Manager, Abbie, has been patient, educational and offered her time to help me through each and every curve ball throughout our first year together. However, the onboarding process and lack of communication is where we all went south. Communication is essential and understanding exactly where you are categorized as a paying client into their software is not clearly NOT defined nor presented on paper - so ask questions, get it in writing otherwise expect conflicts and additional fees and you will have to go to upper management to get this done. All in all, I am still with exercise.com it is the best solution I have found for my movement studio and it offers me room for growth and additional features that help me better my business when they work correctly. This is an honest review as they do need to improve on many skills (communication) and in many categories (reporting, waitlist, client notifications - all of which I think they would agree and are working on with tech support to better these areas we have open tickets on). And to be clear, can my clients book with ease - YES! Can we offer programs and do the things we need to do in the studio daily - YES! So far is it worth it - YES!

When I first joined I was looking for an option that allowed me the freedom and flexibility of having my own app and managing multiple clients the way I wanted.
