Basing this review on the likeliness of…

Basing this review on the likeliness of using their services again. I was approved for an ESA letter, which is great. The provider I met with was very thorough, kind and engaged. I felt caught off guard by some of the religious/Christian feedback in the interview, which seemed off topic for an ESA eval, and doesn't match my experience. It was a long meeting, and if I had known ahead that I'd be getting religious perspectives, I may have tried another route for the ESA, maybe more aligned with my goals and beliefs (or lack thereof haha). The interview left me feeling pretty tired and rattled after talking about in depth trauma history etc. Ultimately a learning lesson and a useful experience, but I'm unlikely to use them again because I felt unprepared for the religious aspects. I'm skeptical of organized religion in general - that churches find vulnerabilities in people, make them feel special and seen, and then sells people on an idea or a promise - and I couldn't help but feel skeptical that my own history was an attempt at persuasion based on my personal details. Just not what I expected for an ESA meeting, but appreciative for the service

Very thorough screening process

Very thorough screening process, the licensed therapist dives deep into your mental health history to make their evaluation, only downside was the time the screenings takes(mine was a 80 minute phone call) and the cost of it all but it’s comparable to finding a mental health provider in my area to get the letter.

I put in a request, an hour later I had my letter. I'm moving to a new state and need a letter for that state, so this was a good way to go about it. Fantastic service, and the individual who helped me reassured me that if I had any issues he would be more than willing to help.

Would not recommend

This was the second year I have used this service. The first year I had a good experience and was impressed/pleased. After my experience renewing this year I was very unimpressed and will not be using this service again. When I used the service last year for my initial letter the therapist was very thorough asking questions and following up multiple times via email which made me feel that the service was genuine and gave me confidence in using it. The email communication was also nice due to my anxiety towards phone conversations and personal schedule. The letter was also provided on an official letter head document from the therapists office. When it came time to renew I requested and paid over one month in advance as I was getting ready to move and wanted to ensure I had my renewal letter in time but I did not hear from anyone for weeks. I continued to get automated email reminders to renew my letter before it expired in this time. About 3 weeks after paying for and requesting my renewal I reached out via the websites “contact us” portal but never got a response. I also indicated that one of my pets had passed away since I submitted my request and I needed to update the info for the letter (and hopefully get a partial refund). Since I still had not been contacted in any form I then approx 1 week later responded to one of the automated renewal emails I kept getting asking for an update on my letter. A representative emailed me back saying she had spoke to my assigned therapist who claimed they had tried to contact me via phone multiple times but had not been able to reach me. I responded letting them know I only had 2 missed calls on my cell phone in the time frame since I submitted my renewal request, both from different numbers and no voicemails so I asked her to confirm my phone number with the therapist and told her my availability for a phone call. I still never heard from a therapist but I did get an email saying that my letter had been approved. I checked the letter and it was not the same therapist as my first letter and was submitted on an unprofessional basic document with the ESApet.com logo. This makes it look not legitimate and seems like it should be illegal since I never actually spoke to the therapist. It also still reflects my deceased pet. And I continued to get renewal reminders via email up until the expiration date of my original letter. Very displeased to say the least.

First, I apologize for the lack of timely communication. We understand how important your ESA letter is, especially during a move, and you should never have had to wait weeks for a response. The automated reminders without proper follow-up are something we are actively working to improve.

Regarding therapist contact attempts, our therapists are required to make multiple attempts via phone and email, and they are instructed to leave voicemails or text messages if they do not reach the client. However, I completely understand that phone calls may not have been the best method for you.

I also want to clarify that each ESA letter can include up to two pets at no additional cost, and I sincerely regret that your pet’s passing was not updated in your renewal. If you’d like an updated letter, please reach out to us, and we’ll make the correction for you right away.

As for the letter format, we have transitioned away from ESA Pet letterhead. However, all letters are issued by licensed therapists, who are required to include their own credentials and contact information to ensure legitimacy.

We value your trust in our service and regret that your renewal experience did not meet expectations. Very Relieved That MY Toy Poodles Can Reside & Travel With Me
