Picked up my new MGZS a few days ago dealt with Simon from start to finish, first went to look at a ZS around 12 months old but luckily Simon advised us that the new MGZS was coming out soon so opted for the new model and Simon even picked out a registration number for me that looks like a private plate,I believe that the advice given about the service plan was great so if you are looking at the new MG range contact Simon

Everything has been very good from the day we arrived without an appointment to look at a car to the day we collected the car.
Good opening hours. Car arrived quickly and we were kept up to date. Arranged last minute paint protection. Explained the car well. Explained all payment options.

Great experience in a nutshell, Chris from the outset was honest and transparent, he offered us a very fair price for our trade in, unlike most other dealers we visited. We really liked the way we were treated, a real sense of service that can only be experienced at a family run dealership. The hand over was very easy, Chris was so helpful, doing things for us that we normally would have to do. We signed up for the MG service plan knowing the 50 minute drive to Eric Stead from home will be worth it, our car and us will be in very caring and capable hands that we can trust. On Saturday, I drove from Sheffield to Scunthorpe to look at a £20k car. I was handed the keys by a friendly fellow. I found the car was grubby, it was being used as personal transport by a salesman. It reeked of vape. I drove off, and there was a very obvious high frequency clicking noise coming from the front of the car. Electric motor bearing or gearbox input bearing on the way out was my diagnosis. I handed the key back to a red-faced salesman. Bear with me. The following day I visited Eric Stead and met with Simon, working on a Sunday when most people take the day off. My experience there bore no relationship to my experience the day before. Very knowledgeable fellow, not pushy, makes a decent coffee. Needless to say, I bought a fantastic Volcano orange MG4 which I am very excited about. The whole process was fast and seemless. I have had excellent service and communication from my initial visit to the showroom in Sheffield to the delivery of my brand new car.
The whole experience was very professional and made buying a car a very easy process. I would have struggled to collect the car however I was very impressed when the suggestion was made that it could be delivered to me.
The staff were all very helpful, honest and friendly answering all the questions I asked, in full and all the information I required was easy to understand.
My experience with Eric Stead has been brilliant.A Great friendly company with no pressure or hard sales and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone wanting to buy a car.

This is the first time we have used Eric stead’s and I have to say, what a wonderful experience it was, I work in retail management and would offer the gent Chris I think his name was a job tomorrow, he didn’t judge us as when we’re not working we always dress down, we had looked at other retailers earlier on the day but nothing was on a par with your company, as with reviews your company NPS is 100% , the car was for my wife but when the new sports model arrives I will definitely be giving it a view, I have already recommended your company and Chris to several friends and family, well done 10/10 it wasn’t the high pressure, in your face selling you get from other car sales company, thank you so much , dave & Tracy 👍

What a perfect experience me and my daughter travelled to Eric Stead of Sheffield from Norfolk we were met at the train station and given a lift to the showroom to pick up her new car we dealt with Daniel and Simon both very professional and knowledgeable and what I liked about this company is no pushy sales just genuine people I would 100% trust this company and definitely go back even though we’re 160 miles away as their customer services was impeccable

Certainly a five star firm. Just had my second service today on my MG HS and wow. They look after you with courtesy and the service was done quickly and efficiently. No problem waiting as comfy and great hot chocolate. Since first ordering our new car two years ago we have been so impressed with this firm and the car. We will definitely be staying with them for next car.

From ordering my new MG to picking it up was a great service from start to finish . Eric Stead are a family business and deserve their 5* reputation . I was extremely happy with the price they offered me for my car in part exchange . From the no rush test drive and right up until the hand-over was professionally handled . ERIC STEAD- Chris Grace, what a 5* fantastic Motability Specialist.
They are respectful, listen to your needs, go meticulously throught what car you require. My car took 3 weeks from 1st visit, to taking my EV car home. Very smooth and professional approach, gave me full confidence to test drive, and talked me thoroughly all available options. Chris was friendly and a very good listener. He also showed me step by step, all the paperwork i needed, and I'll tell you it was a breeze. He also said ring for any questions, any test drives, and any difficulties on remembering what we discussed. (Stroke brain).
Lovely coffee machine, plush, clean toilets, (very important guys).
Spotless in every department.
Fabulous staff in all departments, and we saw most of them.
Finally, I personally, but don't take my word for it, just pop in for a cuppa and a look round the Ecclesfield showroom, and see for yourself.
I guarantee you will get a "no push" but informative and "no pressure" experience. Arranging everything for you too.
( I took a few family members, several times, to meet my new car), no trouble for them, not one bit.

Right from the moment I ordered my new MG, Chris was there to help and guide me through the process. Chris kept me informed all the way to the day I picked up my new car and was always available to answer any questions. On picking up my car Chris patiently explained all about my car and what everything did and gave many helpful and handy tips while never making me feel I was taking up too much time and making sure I was happy with everything. While at the dealership, I noticed how lovely all the staff were and happy to help in any way and always with a pleasant smile to brighten up my day, this whole buying process was made so much easier by all the staff and once I had my new keys in hand, Chris made sure to tell me, no matter how small the question you might have, ring me it’s no bother and I found that to be really kind. I would recommend Eric Stead 100%.

Brilliant experience to buy a new MG. We communicated via email to discuss what we wanted etc and this made it so easy to complete the sale. Daniel was very friendly and efficient and explained things thoroughly. The whole process felt quick and slick. The teddy bears were an extra bonus for keeping the children happy too. Ridiculous place and staff is absolutely shocking.
I had an appointment at 14.00 we arrived at 13.50 with nobody to help us after we looked for help a guy was sat down and ask us if he could help us.
I told him I an appointment with Chris and he said he was busy you will have to wait. After waiting around 20 minutes he ask if he could help with anything, I told him I've come to buy a car and my appointment was at 14.00 he said yes but you will have to wait for him because two or three people are before us.
Nobody was in when we first went arrived the.
Guys attitude was ridiculous who told us he couldn't sell us the car we would just have to wait this was around 14.45 and he just didn't know how long we would have to wait.
My partner had to get me out because I was ready to go at him for how he spoke to me.
I have hidden disabilities and I should have to be spoken down to or been messed around.
I went elsewhere and got the car I wanted with very helpful staff and got my car 4 day's after.
Please don't go if you don't have any patience and don't go if you don't want to be talked to let S##T
