I was with Home Title Lock for many years but last year, they missed even being aware of some changes to my property. When I called them out on it, they had no explanation. I had listed to Mike Galagher's radio show where he endorses Equity Protect and what he said made complete sense. Unique, preemptive approach
As far as I know, the approach taken by this company is unique to the industry. The method preempts most actions that would call property ownership into question. "Preempts" is the important point. Monitoring is good, but can fail to detect changes rapidly enough to prevent them. The approach of this company includes a degree of monitoring, but the preemptive aspect would "block" most fraudulent changes to title well before typical monitoring methods would.
I am primarily interested in whether a method of protection actually works, but I should take the time to note that the folks I dealt with were extremely helpful. Every question I posed was thoroughly answered, and I asked a LOT of questions.
