  1. Mental Health Service

Written by the company

At EmotionalSupportAnimal.com, we know how animals can profoundly impact people’s mental health. Our goal is to help anyone living with a mental or emotional disability find comfort and support through a service dog or emotional support animal and learn how their relationship with their support animal can help them live a healthier, more independent, and happier life. The mental health crisis in the United States has reached alarming levels; in fact, more than 1 in 5 Americans live with a mental illness, and around 16% of Americans are on mental health medications, many of which come with dangerous side effects, may not be covered by insurance, and often don’t improve related issues like loneliness or a lack of purpose. Emotional support animals and psychiatric service dogs have scientifically proven benefits on mental health and general wellness for both adults and children. Adding a support animal to a mental health treatment plan can help reduce reliance on medications, may be more affordable than other treatment options, and can provide companionship and motivation. Plus, ESAs and service dogs are legally required to be able to live with you in nearly all long-term rental housing options, including most apartments and college dorms.

Shana review

Shana was the person I spoke with. Probably one of the most pleasant people ive spoken to over the phone in months. She was professional, but fun, a nice balance. And she understood my situation, as I live in a very FUSSY, SNOOTY H.O.A. we do not have a designated fenced area for those of us who have dogs, yet, ive been kicked out of EVERY COMMON area that every other resident uses to play with and walk their dogs. I have a springer spaniel, and he is sweet as you please, he just barks when he plays. And I keep him on a 35 ft leash in one confined area and we toss the ball around. I've been threatened with law enforcement by use of a fake letter from another resident, that if I am seen playing with Merlin, he will be confiscated and destroyed immediately. And I will be arrested for felony tresspass, in a COMMON DOG WALKING AREA. No other resident ever seems to have an issue, just me and mind you ive never left poop, cigarette butts or trash ever. And bless you Shana, you have given me a renewed sense of security and safety for Merlin. I cant thank you enough. If anyone in your company is due for a raise, promotion and company car, its Miss Shana. And she's also funny, I had not had a good laugh in awhile, and i was way overdue for a much needed giggle-fest. All the while, remaining helpful and professional. She knows her product, and presents the best package for each customer. Its obvious she loves her job and helping pet parents. By the way, are you folks hiring? I cant wait to get Merlins new digs and walk him up and down the street as all the busybodies gawk and give up. Thank you again.

Great experience

I recently lost my best friend, inherited his two cats, and was facing $1000 in pet deposit fees alone from my apartment. Within minutes of starting the online form I received a call from Shana who was so sweet and helpful. She explained everything I didn't understand with patience and made the process so easy.
