Inexpensive, helpful local credit union

I've had a great experience with Elevations--been with them for years after fleeing Chase bank. They helped me improve my credit, they offer a variety of free or low-cost accounts, and their ATM fees are far lower than big banks'. The branches are staffed with friendly professionals and the call/email help options are pretty effective and timely.

In bed with Harland Clarke

Elevations opts to make money by contracting with Harland Clarke, a check-order company, that defrauds members of Elevations. Pick option 1 (Harland Clarke) or option 2 (your members). Watch how fast your members find other check-ordering possibilities that are far, far less expensive.

HORRIBLE!!!

Nothing but issues, you can't get in touch with a branch, all calls go to a Boulder branch and my wait time was 89 minutes and there were 69 callers ahead of me. The freeze and hold cash deposits that I deposited in their ATM. I have had my account since Feb. And have always had my pay check direct deposited and they have a hold on my check now which is frustrating because I'm now going to be late on rent. I've also not had access to my app for the last week because of an update they did. The new update is terrible. I'm very very disappointed with this credit union. As soon as my check posts I'm pulling my money and closing the account...this bank is a joke.
