Neat and tidy installation

Sam and his team were excellent and very professional - I'd definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone looking for an EV installer. Great communication throughout the process, answering all my questions. On the day, the installer arrived early, neatly fitted everything and got me set up with the app.

Great install, poor/disappointing follow up

Good initial experience and recommended to friends. Unfortunately when experiencing an issue with a component of the install, their follow up/proactiveness was poor, despite having installed a component of our installation that is prone to burning out and a genuine health & safety concern.

Thank you for your review. We're pleased to hear you had a good initial experience with us and even recommended us to others—that means a lot. That said, we feel it's important to clarify the facts for the benefit of those reading.

Your charger was installed in May 2020 and came with a three-year warranty, which expired in May 2023. When you reached out in April 2025—almost two years beyond the warranty period—we still responded quickly and offered free first-line support to help diagnose the issue remotely.

We were in regular communication from 10 April, and by 11 April, we had provided troubleshooting guidance. When it became clear the RCD was faulty (specifically that the test button was unresponsive), we offered a resolution along with a heavily discounted quote to replace the unit — we didn't have to do that.

Regarding your claim that we used a “component prone to burning out”: at the time of installation, the Rolec RCD used was one of the few available units that complied with EV charging regulations. It was supplied by a leading manufacturer and met all relevant safety and performance standards. While technology has since moved on and we now use newer components, this does not mean the original unit was unsafe or unfit for purpose.

Up until the point where a cost was introduced to resolve the issue—due to the installation being well outside of warranty—you expressed satisfaction with our service. We understand it's frustrating when any equipment fails, but we stand by our original work and feel we went above and beyond in how we handled your case: promptly, respectfully, and fairly.

Good primary outcome but overall service could be improved

Charger is installed, works well and the cable ran under the house floor which is all as hoped. The engineer didn't seem so trustworthy and the customer service was passable.

Some damage was incurred on the drilling of the exit wire from under the house. This was understandable, but the engineer initially denied some damage was done by him, then was quite disrespectful.

He ended up doing a patch-up job but seemed to do a purposefully poor job or just had no experience applying silicon. We were given a very minor token discount that wouldn't cover redoing the touch-up work. Although the agent was keen to understand more about the situation with the engineer, we didn't feel comfortable taking it further.

I'd say they're a fine company for the most part as most reviews state, but not 5-stars from our end-to-end experience.

Great service

Brilliant service from the outset. Initial quote was provided without the need for a physical site visit - I just uploaded some photos of the proposed charger location and existing electrical installation. Matt, who came to fit the device was very professional and efficient, not to mention a really nice guy. All neatly installed and fully operational. Very happy!

Excellent from start to finish

Excellent from start to finish. Sam dealt with my initial enquiry, providing various quotes on different chargers, no pushy sale's which for me was one of the reasons why I choose Elecology. On the day of installation, Dan arrived, very polite and professional, installed the charger, showed how everything worked. Dan made sure all cables were straight, excellent workmanship and a credit to Elecology.

Fantastic Experience

Fantastic Experience. From start to finish Elecology were easy to deal with. The quote was quick, reasonably priced and everything outlined and explained well. Sam was very responsive and helpful with any queries pre and post installation. The guys installing the Tesla Wall Connector on site were also very friendly, professional and efficient. Can't recommend them enough!

Great Job - 10/10

Can’t recommend enough. From the initial contact, Sam and the team at Elecology have been super helpful, responsive and a joy to deal with.
They couldn’t do enough to help with any question and the response time to emails was unreal. Usually expect to wait a day or so for a reply, with Elecology it’s an hour or 2!!
Engineer was prompt, polite, neat and personable.
I would 100% recommend Elecology to anyone that requires an EV charger installed.

Sam gave me couple of dates for installation and communication through emails was fast and efficient he got the charger and so it was hassle free
On the day the installation was problem free - the engineer David was at my house very early, he explained the few choices I needed to make and then got on with it swiftly and showed me how everything works when it was complete.

You purchased the charging point and installation directly from the manufacturer. We diligently ordered your charger well in advance, but unfortunately, it wasn't delivered to us on time. Despite this, we didn't want to miss your installation appointment, so we came prepared with a 5m backup charger from our own stock. Regrettably, it didn't fit your needs.

We completed as much of the installation as possible and promised to return once the correct 8m charger arrives (date agreed and book). It's important to mention that we won't receive payment for the return visit, even though the incorrect cable length was beyond our control.

Thank you for your understanding and patience. We're just as annoyed by the situation and are committed to making it right for you.

Decent install but now i need to get a floor board replaced.

Engineer who came for the install was good and he did a decent job however to gain access under the floor he decided to cut one of the floor boards. It has been cut in such a way that it is unsupported. He had put couple of screws to keep the floor board in place but it has since caved in only been few days.

Our engineers will always take extra time and care to make sure the most discreet cable route possible is achieved (the goal is no cable on show). A floorboard in an understairs cupboard might be lifted so that the cable is not visible throughout the house.

Super all round installation

We found our EV installation to be very smooth. Luke arrived on the day with another team member and worked efficiently and respectfully. There was good communication throughout and the team cleared up after the work. Booking and payment with Sam very easy and timely. All in all would recommend without hesitation.

Easy to deal with and professional

I found Elecology easy to deal with and professional throughout. They gave me some advice about selecting the right charger for my needs and answered the few questions I had.
On the day the installation was problem free - the engineer was at my house very early, he explained the few choices I needed to make and then got on with it swiftly and showed me how everything works when it was complete.
p.s. in May 2024 I had a problem with the power supply to the charger (the RBCO if you want to know) and Elecology were quick to get an engineer round and sort it out, so again good, efficient service.

Would thoroughly recommend. Yes probably not the cheapest option but if you want 100% confidence in a job done well, then this company is for you.
