Easy Car Transport = Bait & Switch!
Two stars for prompt and kind communication up front, but zero stars for ultimately being two-faced and completely failing to deliver - literally! Easy Car Transport (ECT) pulled a "bait-and-switch" tactic with me, where I was quoted $885 to ship my car from one state to another (a price that was contractually formalized), only to have them: 1. never show up for the scheduled (and confirmed) pick-up, and; 2. tell me that suddenly it was going to cost me more than double (~$1,800) for them to get a carrier to pick up and deliver my car within a reasonable time-frame!
Before flying to my new home in another state, I left my car and keys with a friend, who was kind enough to offer to be the point-person to have it picked up from the city I had been living in. When she informed me that ECT never showed up (and never contacted me or her to bother letting either of us know), I called them the next day. ECT gave me some story about the carrier "having transmission problems" right before picking up my car, preventing them from being able to show up (how that prevented them from calling to let me know, I have no idea). Then they said that to get another carrier to pick up my car within a week or two, it would cost ~$1,800; otherwise, they couldn't guarantee they could deliver my car within a reasonable time frame! When I refused to bite the hook of their now obvious bait-and-switch tactic, telling them I no longer wanted to do business with them and that I'd find another broker, they said they had 5 days to find a replacement carrier according to the contract I signed, and that I'd be subject to a $150 cancellation fee if I worked with another broker. My response? Silent treatment - because I don't have the time or energy in my life to engage with such blatant deception and dishonesty - and cancelling my credit card that they had on file before they could charge the fee. The latter was worth the mild inconvenience it caused me, knowing that by doing so they wouldn't get a penny of my money.
Moral of my story: do yourself a favor and DO NOT do business with Easy Car Transport! Thankfully, after this incident, I had an easy and honest experience with another broker called Easy Auto Ship (EAS), who stood true to their name and behind their original quote of $1,362 to ship my car, getting it to me in a matter of days. Done.

The nature of the shipping business makes the entire shipping business dishonest. It's the only way they can operate their business. No shipping company can guarantee you a firm pickup and delivery date. This particular company takes the dishonesty portion of the business to a new height. I was promised two different pickup dates and two pickup dates missed. I was called 5 & 6 times a day by my shipping agent when a date was missed, to convince me he could get my vehicle picked up & delivered as I needed. After each time he secured a new contract he was unavailable to give tracking updates as promised. Eventually I had my vehicle picked up 5 days later than promised for $250 additional dollars more than the initial contract. The old bait and switch. This bait and switch business practice is used by all the shipping companies. All the shipping companies know the cars that are requested to be shipped and the cost, which is also discussed by several other reviewers. The missed pickup dates cost me $260 in late storage fees. The agent then incorrectly charged his fee of $150 dollars to my credit card when it should have been $100 dollars. Had I not found the mistaken charge the incorrect charge would have gone through. While nothing to do with the actual review my following statement does lend credence to the honor and integrity of E Z Car Transport. My son died with the truck I was trying to have shipped back to my son's hometown, to his family. So with all that going on I ended up incurring a total cost of $510 additional dollars over my first contact. The news of my son's death and my situation was well known by all.

Saw some of the negative reviews and hoped this wouldn't be my case with ECT. The initial quote and booking was straightforward and easy. I was told the day a carrier would pickup my car and when that day came, I got a text saying they wouldn't be able to fulfill it. I scrambled to figure out what could be done all while ECT telling me they would handle it and not to worry. Basically what ECT does is they lowball you a quote to get your order and if/when it doesn't pan out they bait and switch you with a higher cost of the normal going rate to transport your car. My rep that was helping me conveniently called in sick the day after telling me my car wouldn't be picked up. Overall I would avoid this company if you want to avoid a headache.

Dave helped us move a car from NM to TX. The quoted price changed after an initial pickup fell through and there was some back and forth about drop off dates. In the end the car was delivered in a reasonable time and for a reasonable price (though $200 more than quoted). Dave was competent and responsive through the process.

This is the worst company to deal with
This is the worst company to deal with. Promised one price day car was to be picked up said it was unavailable After I sign the contract. Then quoted another price almost double original quote, I was forced to agreed to that price because I needed the car in Tampa. Car was picked up on time was supposed to be delivered within two days. Car delivery is over a week late still not delivered after multiple guarantees the only feedback I get from the company is excuses after excuses they are absolutely horrible to deal with. They don't take responsibility for anything they blame it all on the carrier I informed her several times my contractors with you and not the carrier you contracted with still all I got was excuses absolutely on excusable I would not recommend anybody have any business with this company!

We are so sorry to have assigned you this driver; the carrier company has already been punished. Your shipping agent worked hard to assign you a driver when the original deal fell through. We always work hard to assign legit drivers for the most reasonable price within the shortest terms. Sorry that the original driver assigned to your order was canceled, but there are things we can not foresee.
As for the delay: unfortunately there are different situations that might occur during the drive. As per our records, we attempted to contact your second carrier during the transportation multiple times but received the first update one day before drop-off. Having reached them, we insisted on a discount for you, and they agreed. Consequently, we made multiple attempts to get in touch with you in order to refund the amount the carrier agreed to. However, we never received a reply from your end after the vehicle was delivered.
You are a valued customer, and we hope you continue to trust us with your business. We are still looking forward to hearing from you and resolving the case appropriately. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you want to discuss this further.

Great company and very informative
So when booking this company, Amy, Johnny, and Josephine were all very helpful and informational. You could text or call at any time and they will always answer via text or call as long as its between business hours and if its after about 8pm then they will get back to you as early as 6am. The reason im giving it 3 stars is because I was quoted $975 at first and it was the cheapest I could find out there, unfortunately a little bit after my driver cancelled last minute and I was informed they will be charging $1350 now. Yes they are an agency and work with multiple drivers so its not their fault. Im very glad to have received everything in one piece upon the estimated scheduled time and would work with them again. They’ve provided info on each driver so they can text their eta and call you upon arrival. Thank you everyone from Easy car transport LLC and George from Umbrella Auto Transport.

We have considered your appeal carefully.
You placed an order via the booking link on July 21st. The contract was sent to you, and the shipping agent to whom your order belonged has made multiple attempts to reach you to confirm the details. Unfortunately, he never got a response to none of his calls.
All the inbound/outbound calls are recorded in our system, and we can certainly prove each of the statements we ever made.
The first available date on the contract you eventually signed was 07/23. However, no agreement or negotiations between us (the Broker) and you (the Customer) regarding any exact timeframes of pick up were ever made due to an inability to get in contact with you.
Therefore, if we aren’t aware of any urgency/tight restrictions, we acted in accordance with the contract. Please pay attention to
A - Customers vehicle must be picked up within 5 business days by the Carrier selected by the Broker, or the Customer has the right to cancel this contract without penalties of any kind.
Then, after many unsuccessful attempts to get in touch with you, we finally received a call from you. However, when our shipping agent told you there was no driver assigned for pick up on Saturday, the 23rd, it was the end of the good dialogue. There was no chance for Marcel, the shipping manager responsible for your order, to explain anything. Dave, I listened to all the conversations between you and Marcel, and I have never heard such obscene language in my life. Every time the agent tried to tell you something, you immediately interrupted him and repeatedly swore, insulting him personally and even mentioning his relatives.
Sometimes, things may not go according to plan. And we are always open to cooperation and fast issues resolving. But when you start to get personal, it is just over the line. Such attitude and wording that you used are unacceptable.
We also contacted you on Monday, July 25th, once Marcel was back to work, with detailed feedback. We wanted to get it done for you. And all that we got in response was bad language too. At this point, we stoped the communication.
Suppose you need help in shipping your vehicle. In that case, you can contact your shipping agent Marcel Greene and bring your sincere apologies. After he accepts it, we can make it work.
