REVIEW OF DOGTOPIA OF SUN CITY

REVIEW OF DOGTOPIA OF SUN CITY
9436 W. LAKE MEAD BLVD.

February, 2025
I had been a regular at Dogtopia for a while. LAST MONTH (January, 2025) I took my dog there and found out that another dog had bit him. (They tried to cover it up by saying they had an “INCIDENT” and no dog was hurt, just a little rough play.)
Well, I had to take my dog to the vet (my dog was bit on the nose and side). Also, I found out my dog had kennel cough (he had a regular vaccine shot for this but they still can get it from unsanitary conditions even if had vaccine). All of this cost me well over $300.00 dollars. Plus, I was on a monthly program where I had to pay in advance. I asked them how would they compensate me for all of this. They replied that IT WAS THERE POLICY NOT TO REIMBURSE FOR ANY OF THAT AND THAT IT JUST HAPPENS. SOMETIMES. (I talked to the head guy who was in charge of safety & Health conditions).
They wouldn’t re-imburse me for any of the vet bills, not for the advanced payments I made for the upcoming month for which I could not attend because I no longer wanted to go to such a bad place. I asked them how long they had kennel cough in their place and they admitted had it since opened.
I learned that there was no outside facilities for dogs to relieve themselves so, dogs would defecate on the floor (and they would clean it up later) and then dogs all drank out of same BOWLS; it was filthy, in other words, which can lead to kennel cough and they did nothing about it. I asked them (as a point of curiosity) what if I was to bring my dog back tomorrow (which I had no intention of doing) and they got bit all over again and got kennel cough again and I had to go thru this all over. They just shrugged their shoulders and relied; it happens again? They just shrugged their shoulders and relied; it happens. I have never heard back from Dogtopia EVER to resolve this. I filed a complaint with the BBB.
