Noula Sheedy at Discovering Ireland really set up a great trip for us. Everything was well organized and exactly as we had requested. We did a self-planned tour and she found great accommodations every city we visited.

From my first contact with Maria Lieb at Discovering Ireland Vacations, I received excellent service. Maria worked with us to design a 14-day driving vacation around Ireland and Northern Ireland that included a combination of hotels, castles, and bed and breakfasts. At each one, we were delighted and felt as if our arrival and even room choice had been planned and expected. We were provided with excellent travel and sightseeing information, including route recommendations. We had arranged for Irish friends to join us one night, but due to illness, they couldn’t come. Maria called and arranged a gift voucher for them to use in the future. I will recommend this company and Maria to my friends and cannot say enough good things about them!!

My wife and I did the Wild Atlantic Way for our anniversary. The freedom and convenience of a self driving tour was excellent! The hotels and locations that the company set up for us were wonderful.
We plan on making a return trip and will be using the same travel company.
Our trip from the United States to Ireland was a challenge however. We missed our connecting flight due to delays and had a 20 hour layover in Newark…and waking up in New Jersey instead of Dingle Bay was not a pleasant experience to say the least.
But once we landed in Shannon, all was right with the world.
We missed out on the first day of our vacation, but Discovering Ireland set up an additional night in Galway City to ensure we got our full week stay!
Maria and Niemh were our two contacts with Discovering Ireland and both were a tremendous help.
Already looking forward to coming back to Ireland!

We had everything planned for us based on our likes and preferences. We arrived by plane, got our rented car and headed out to our first stop on our 11 day trip. The hotels picked for us were fabulous as well as the cities and towns we stayed in. We were able to go our own route to the next destination and stop to see what interested us on the way. It was great to have all the items except for our sightseeing picks dealt with long before our trip started. The whole trip went flawlessly. Thanks again!!! NUALA was always available to answer any questions we had in the several months leading up to the trip.

With help from Nuala Sheedy of Irish Tourism, we had a wonderful 6 night visit to the West Coast of Ireland. She arranged the accommodations and rental car, and provided a 50+ page of suggested sites with route to take. We flew into Shannon and were able to visit Adare, Dingle, Lahinch, Connemara, Westport, Achill Island and Galway. We loved every minute of it! Thank you!

Maria listened to how I wanted to travel and lined it all up perfectly. The B&B'S were wonderful. We had a wonderful experience ( aside from having to drive on the "wrong" side of the very narrow roads) all around.
The navigation provided with the rental car was useless, but Google maps on my phone was perfect.
I had just enough time,ten days, to see most everything, and short enough to make me want to go back. The people were the highlight. The most delightful people you could meet.

Our first visit to Ireland. We asked for a self drive exploration with good quality accommodations. Our agent Nuala put together an itinerary with first rate estate/castle hotels. All we had to do was pick up the already booked rental car and make our way to the various locations she suggested. Good written guide was supplied. We had used a similar agency in New Zealand and were very happy with our choice of Discovering Ireland Vacations.

The entire team was fantastic. Maria assisted with accommodations and then were all nice hotels. Peter was our driver and he was awesome!! He was very knowledgeable and flexible when needed. The bus was large and roomy for all 16 people. We'll definitely use them again the next time we are in Ireland.

We were very happy with the accommodation that Maria booked us into. Everywhere was very clean and pleasant. I especially appreciated the detailed itinerary of where to go and what to see along our 18 day road trip around Ireland.
Communication throughout the booking period was excellent and it was reassuring knowing that we could contact them anytime during our travels (although we did not have the need to).

Our entire experience with Discovering Ireland Vacations was fantastic. When starting to plan our vacation, I reached out to them about one of their packages. After getting a response back from Maria, I realized this package was out of our budget. Maria was so helpful and quick to help us out and design a vacation that was within our price range. She was quick to respond and created a wonderful vacation for us, easily working with us when we wanted to add another day. We used both hotels and B&Bs. All of the places we stayed were fantastic. We rented a car as well which was easy to retrieve. Overall our vacation was wonderful, within our budget and Maria helped us create a wonderful experience !

We recently had a Fantastic trip to Ireland due in no small part to Maria from Discovering Ireland. Because of covid and a family illness, we had to reschedule 3 times. Maria was efficient and helpful Every step of the way! Thank You, Maria!
Our accomodations were great and accessible to wherever we wanted to visit- our route was basically Killarney- Ring of Kerry- Dingle Peninsula -Galway. And of course, the Irish people made sure we had a Grand time! Thank you ALL!

The driving experience. It allowed us time to tour Ireland at our leisure. Most of the lodging was amazing! We were a little disappointed with some of the recommended locations and would do things differently next time. A questionnaire of likes/dislikes could have been beneficial to our agent in planning our trip.

We were very pleased with our accommodations which were central to the sights and therefore easily walkable. All of our accommodations included an elevator which was important for my elderly mother. We were open to any itinerary, and we enjoyed the cities that Maria selected for us to visit. We had no issues with the car rental she arranged for us as well. Maria communicated often during the planning stage and I know she would have been available if we needed any help on our holiday, but due to her planning, we had no need. We loved visiting Ireland!

We arranged our rail tour trip of Ireland through Maria at Discovering Ireland Vacations. We specifically booked the 8 Night Best of Ireland by Rail tour. Everything was expertly set up and organized for us. The detailed information and instructions were all very clear and helpful throughout the entire trip. Overall, the visit to Ireland was wonderful. The country is very beautiful, the locations we visited on tour were great, and it was all very easy to navigate with the planning materials and the directions provided. I would definitely recommend this travel service to any family and friends interested in taking a trip to Ireland. The level of service and attention to detail were very much appreciated!
