I highly recommend Primrose dental…

I highly recommend Primrose dental surgery. As a qualified professional, Dr. Prasad Amaratunga, my dentist here, demonstrated extensive knowledge and expertise. I came from London and during my visits, he identified the most suitable dentures and expertly performed my dental implants. The prices are very affordable and the dentist has done an exceptional job throughout my entire treatment process. He has been incredibly kind, taking the time to explain everything clearly. Primrose also has a hotel attached to the clinic in a separate establishment that offers discounted rates for patients receiving treatment, which is a fantastic added convenience. Overall, I am very satisfied with the care and service.

Horrible Place/People

As Jen R has stated it seems the primrose dental clinic has it backwards on who is serving who. I do not know Jen R in any way but can confirm what she's saying is True. I'm a Veteran and no stranger to physical pain. I can take most any kind of pain but my kryptonite is mouth pain. I'm just a whimpering baby when it comes to mouth pain. So I get 2 teeth pulled and Dr. Wheeler gives me a script for 12 pain pills. I run out and am in dire pain and call the dental office and the receptionist tells me immediately that Dr. Wheeler will not prescribe me any more medication no matter what. I asked if she could speak to him about this or if I could speak to him and she says "I'm telling you what he's going to say and you speaking with him will not be possible because he's with a patient and will be with patients all day(hinting that if I call back later I will not be allowed to speak with him) and you should just go buy some ibuprofen or extra strength Tylenol because there's nothing more we can do for you." I just couldn't believe the way this woman was treating me, all the while my face/cheek/head are throbbing with pain. I told myself i'm not coming back to this place for anything dental wise again. But...I did, 2 more times actually lol because I have always had bad experiences with dentist's and for 25 years never went to a dentist because of the experiences I've had and at least I had already been through the door at this place. So the second time I went I had 3 teeth pulled and had to beg and grovel for the doctor to raise the prescription amount to 14 this time ( they would only give me 2 extra pills which is really only half a day of relief). That too was a horrible dental experience but I was polite and thanked the people I came in contact with when really I shoulda been beach slappen every one of their conceded snobby your here to serve me faces. But I didn't I kept my composure. And then..there's the third vist- this time Dr. Wheeler felt it necessary to shove a 3 inch needle right up the center of the roof of my mouth puncturing my nasal cavity so I could feel weird air in my nose and back of throat(keep in mind my one tooth to be pulled is on one side of my face not the center. Dr. Wheeler is ready to start pullen my tooth and luckily for me asked how I was feeling, and thank god he did because I told him I can feel pain on my tooth just from breathing and whoa- wait- he had forgotten to numb the left side of my face/gums as I had realized already because the last 2 times he had used a smaller needle numbing many little spots with multiple shots, but he was gonna just start cracken at my tooth with just the one shot in the middle of the mouth- it made absolutely no sense to me. So he numbs me up starts pullen and cracks my tooth into pieces sending a chunk of tooth down my throat and instantly he and the nurse start yelling "ya gotta catch that and spit it out ( nurse loudly saying "spit it out spit it out" - Dr. Wheeler continues and finishes without me being able to speak to tell him there' another small piece of tooth on the back of throat. I end up telling the nurse and just swallowing the piece of tooth because the doctor was out of the room in a flash. But now we get to the worst part of it all...The doctor this time goes back to prescribing me only 12 pain pills which is only enough for 2/3 days of healing time- as if the gaping hole in my mouth is going to be all healed up in 2 days time- I'm not sure what medical school Dr. Wheeler went to but I'm sure they had to teach him that it takes longer then 3 days for a gaping hole in the mouth to heal. I ask the receptionist for a larger prescription, she asks the doctor and the answer is no but too come back if I need more. Now the timing of me running out of pain medication falls right into when the dentist office is closed and I'm sure they had to realize this but I remained polite and left. 3 days later, on a Friday(they are closed fri/sat/sun every week) I run out of medication and my face and neck and temples are throbbing with pain and they are closed so I call the paging number for the doctor from the recording they have and he finally replies to my page 2 hours later and begins to tell me that he's outta town for his son's hockey tournament and theres nothing he can do for me. Basically tellen me that he has caused for me to be in pain by under prescribing my medication and that i'm screwed because hes not gonna do anything to help (lets keep in mind there are such things as online physicians that he coulda contacted and directed me where to go to have a prescription written by someone else)but he tells me to find a walk-in clinic and see if they will give me shot of pain killer. As if he was intentionally making sure I suffer no matter what.So I will warn you, cold people, cold environment, and they don't care if your suffering, just make sure to pay $$

Excellent, Clean, Sanitary and Courteous Dental Practice in Kandy, Sri Lanka

I went in because a root-canal done by another dental practice in Colombo was giving lot of pain and I was retaining lot of food there leading to pain and inflammation. I emailed, got a quick response, and was told to come in. I went in the next day, had an x-ray and we discussed what needed to be done and it was done immediately. No pain and I am doing fine right now. Dr. Sanjeeva was very reassuring, courteous, and I felt comfortable. I recommend this practice and dentist without any hesitation.

Update: I had another deep scaling (Quadrant Cleaning) visit and that went very well too. Vry happy with this practice.
