I had a fantastic experience at Demand…

I had a fantastic experience at Demand cars! From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, professional, and eager to help. Andrius went above and beyond to find the perfect vehicle for me, answering all my questions with patience and expertise. The entire process, from test-driving to financing, was smooth and stress-free.

Sold car with Tampered VINs

Just under a year ago, I purchased a vehicle from Demand Cars LTD. A year later, I am now unable to get the car MOT’d because all of the VIN numbers on the vehicle have been defaced — except for one located on the strut mount in the engine bay. However, this VIN has clearly been stamped on unprofessionally and does not match the original.

I know this because the scratched VIN on the driver-side door is still partially visible, and it is nowhere near close to the VIN that has been stamped on the strut mount.

The car’s registration, along with this (non-original) VIN, comes back completely clean via a HPI check. However, the vehicle came with no paperwork and did not include a V5C at the time of purchase. When I contacted the dealership, they told me to "take it to another MOT centre," failing to realise the seriousness of the issue — the vehicle may not be road legal as a result of VIN tampering. They even went as far as to accuse me of stamping a new VIN in the engine bay and scratching out the original VINs, despite the fact that the original VINs are still partially visible. Furthermore, the VIN they are accusing me of stamping — the one found in the engine bay — is the same VIN they listed on the purchase invoice they gave me at the time of sale.

I have contacted Demand Cars LTD multiple times formally. Despite the severity of the situation, they have chosen to ignore all my attempts to resolve the matter.

As a result, I will be pursuing legal action against Demand Cars LTD in court and will also be reporting them to Trading Standards for their illegal practices.
