Bait and Switch Privacy Policy (resolved)

Curable changed the Privacy Policy, which now says they can disclose ALL of your personal information—including your sensitive medical condition information—to anyone they like for "scientific or other research." Curable has not responded to any requests for support with this egregious bait-and-switch within their stated response SLA.

Update: Curable did eventually revert back after almost a week providing the requested prorated refund. Upgrading review from 1 to 3 stars.

SCAM - charged without notice for years

Signed up for the free trial and learned--YEARS later--that I was being charged annually. The renewal email told me to check my subscriptions on my apple phone. It did not appear in my subscriptions. I asked for a refund and was told "no," but that I should make good use of the app until my cancellation kicks in. This is a SCAM.

All about the money

As others have said, they don't care about people's health, just about making money. I signed up once for a free trial and then decided not to use the app, now three years later find out they have been taking a subscription from me all that time - when I asked for a refund they said 'sorry but good luck with your healing journey'!! I received one email from them about the subscription renewal, never a receipt or any other communication for three years, and I don't even have the app on my phone. Not an ethical company.

I signed up for the free introductory…

I signed up for the free introductory offer and maybe opened it once or twice, never really using it. I just discovered they renewed it four times at a cost of $99 for each period of three months (which is ridiculously high, particularly considering there are many free meditation apps). I contacted their customer service and was told they'd refund two of those, but not the other two since I'd opened the app. I reported this to the Better Business Bureau and then got back to the company to say they're required by their state law o notify a customer about the renewal. I'm not sure, but it's also possible they need a signature to go ahead and renew. I've now gotten the refund but I don't respect their business practices.

Difficult to Navigate

I gave this a go for many months and like the philosophy behind the app. Found the app itself difficult to navigate, specifically the bot who choses your path for you. I would have liked to see all options presented by topic and been able to chose the assignment that I believed was best for me. Unfortunately the app doesn't work that way. The thing that has helped me the most in coping w my pain and anxiety is renewing my relationship with God (His love for me and His desire to help me in all aspects of my life). Nothing has been more freeing and made my life more joyful than that! I wish all of you struggling to cope with or alleviate pain that you find the path that works for you. This life can be difficult and life with pain more so.

Absolutely the worst app ever

Absolutely the worst app ever. Steer clear, it's nothing but a scam. They make it virtually impossible to cancel the subscription, don't have any customer service and ignore complaints. My girlfriend tried to cancel this two years ago, didn't work, got charged for the app even though she hadn't used for months. Just now got another email saying they were going to renew the subscription! It's unbelievable. The whole experience really upset my girlfriend and cost her a lot of money. It doesn't help with pain, it just creates more pain in your life and lines the pockets of the people who run the scam. AVOID!

TERRIBLE APP

This app is terrible. I have a very similar condition to MS. And so, I was desperate for help and healing. After seeing the conventional medical doctors, I was even more hopeless and vulnerable me and my family wanted me to get better more than anything else.

So then, I found this app “curable”. The website is very good at marketing it as being “proven” and having good results. And they have all these doctors who have studied the mind-body connection.

I initially had a year subscription, and I had not seen any result at all with an improvement in my symptoms. I should have cancelled the subscription altogether.

But instead, I was so desperate and still sold on the “hope” that Curable sells you. Like a lot of cults, they sell you on “hope.” I thought I wasn’t trying hard enough and needed to continue doing mediations, so I got the lifetime subscription. Now, I regret that purchase, but at that time, I was still sold on hope.

The app Curable was created at a very low consciousness. Their understanding of Pain, energy, and Spirit is low. These doctors don’t understand what they are trying to convince you is the way to heal themselves. They are stuck in their intellect and have podcasts where they give you information that is apparently meant to “cure” you.

Their understanding of “healing” is low. It uses a lot of psychology, and some mediations talk about emotions and energy, but the perspective is still limited. It only touches the surface. I am pretty sure the left-brain doctors making the podcasts need to heal first before they should intellectualise and tell others what healing is.

So, I am at the point now where I have this lifetime subscription to this app, but I have no desire or need to use it. The money has been spent. But I do warn other members before joining that they don’t just spend money straight away and fall for the clever marketing.

Don't like some of their tactics

I hope they don't charge me automatically for a 2nd year. Just read this has been a problem for some on here. I found some of their approaches harsh. When you've been in a lot of pain for years, a program needs to boost your self-confidence that you can heal. That needs to be done in a nurturing and hopeful way. Not tell you that if you think you are doomed to suffer for the rest of your life, then this program (or "I) cannot help you. Such a total turn off and a lot of pressure. Not going to do this program now at all.

The app treatments are valuable but…

The app treatments are valuable but they kept charging me a year after trying to cancel. They don’t answer emails and even when you cancel the app they keep charging. They never respond to put it right.

Great customer service!

Actually, despite the negative reviews, when my account was charged for a renewal I messaged their customer support and charges were canceled instantly. In this day and age of scammers trying to squeeze every dollar from you and sign you up for hidden offers, this was such a wonderful experience that I would definitely sign up again if I felt the need.

Do NOT use this app – unable to cancel and they will charge you for unwanted annual subscriptionhe above review

Agree with the above review – App impossible to cancel. I had to ask my bank to block future payments to Curable, as they have ignored 3 emails where I asked for a refund and to cancel my subscription. I paid for 1 year initially (about £50), and then, with barely any warning (an email that went into my junk folder and I only saw too late) they took more than double (£117) for the 2nd year’s subscription. They have since ignored my requests for a refund. As an App which professes to help people, I am extremely disappointed that they trick customers into paying for a 2nd year (without enough warning) and then ignore those customers. I hope others will take this warning.

Impossible to cancel

Impossible to cancel. NOT simple as they suggest. I've persevered with the activities, and I have found some helpful, others patronising and missing the mark. Ultimately, it has not helped my pain at all.
