Healthcare Fraud At It's Best

Steve and Irene Gordon are operating healthcare shuffle where customers or patients are able to make appointments and see their physical trainers. But that's literally it. They have fired any local receptionist to help with any billing or clerical issues, including the check in process. Which would be fine if they weren't actively modifying agreements to bilk more money out of the consumers. I went in after an auto claim in July of 24 to get physical therapy.

After my first visit that I paid $100 cash for, I chose the option to purchase 10 visits at the discounted rate of $75 per session. I was only scheduled 8 of the 10 visits I paid for. I assume because the physical trainer was very rushed between patients that it was overlooked. After the 8th visit, I was back to health and did not need anymore services. I only found out about the additional credit of $150 [Covers the 2 visits I didn't have scheduled or use] after my lawyers and I had a discrepancy in numbers. Months had passed since I last visited the establishment and I was recovered and had the proper training where I did not need any more service from Coppola. I had other medical bills from the accident that I could use the remaining $150 balance to make payments with.

I imagined calling and sorting out a refund for a service that wasn't performed would be a simple task considering how many customers are being churned out of that place. It's a hurry up and try to heal pace that lasts a very short 40 minutes. WRONG. The owner literally fired all receptionist staff and has outsourced everything remote. Even the check in process when you enter connects to a woman in Kansas. When I was told I need to speak to billing, I was given a phone number of a phone that's turned off and goes straight to voicemail. I did not hear back from leaving a message.

I did however receive a borderline harassing phone call from the owner Steve Gordon. Who was trying to intimidate me over the phone to use the available credit of $150 with my physical trainer. I told him I don't need it anymore and I just need my money back. He gave me a pathetic attempt to explain how what I'm trying to do is like getting a prescription of 30 pills, taking 2 pills, then wanting to return the 28 pills for a refund. In actuality, it is nothing like that scenario. I paid for 10 visits at the rate of $75 a visit. I was shorted 2 visits. When I asked about it, I get Steve Gordon acting like an arrogant bully on the phone telling me he can just change the visits to single visits so I owe HIM money instead. I hung up on him because of how immature and unprofessional he was getting. By the end of the day, I receive an email showing that he did just that. He raised the prices of my visits to deplete my $150 available credit in the account, and is now showing me that I owe them money. I cannot believe this level of immaturity from him.

This is fraudulent behavior that I found out I am not the only one going through this. There are many other people who left Google feedback saying the same type of scenarios.

The audacity of the owner of multiple physical therapy wellness centers who goes out of his way to scam his own customers by upping the prices is outlandish and really short sighted in this day and age. He sounded like nothing more than a steroid using bully on the phone when he was trying to intimidate me. And I really hope no one else has to experience what I went through with him and his pathetic excuse for a wellness center. He literally admitted to me on the phone that he created a system where it's hard for the customer to do anything other than give Coppola money and see the physical trainers.

This is the family business you support if you use their establishments.
