False promises and long wait time!

I’ve been a Constellation Home customer for years, and I’d like to share my honest experience. If you’re not in a hurry and don’t mind waiting for service, this company might be fine. But if you need timely repairs, I strongly advise you to think twice before purchasing their service plan.

My air conditioner broke on June 20. A technician came out the next day, June 21, and confirmed the compressor needed replacement. The part was ordered the same day, and I was told it would arrive by June 25. Since then, I’ve called daily. Each time, the receptionist tells me, “It’s coming today.”

I’ve repeatedly asked to speak with a parts manager and was promised a callback—yet I only received one call, on June 27. As of today, July 2, the issue is still unresolved. Meanwhile, my elderly parents have been living in extreme heat during a heatwave.

Please think carefully before signing up with this company. If you expect timely service, this may not be the right choice. I will be sharing this experience on other platforms to help others avoid the same situation.

SCAM ELECTRICITY COMPANY

SCAM COMPANY! STAY AWAY! Constellation uses misleading perk of home warranty promises to get people to enroll for electric service paying higher than average per Kilowatt charges. Then will find every excuse not to honor warranty and cover repairs. Instead they will use opportunity when you need a repair to try to sell products or push for high cost of extra unnecessary repairs using their preferred vendors. AC repair guy who came out even said Constellation sets prices and gets a big chunk of repairs or upsells.

Horrible customer service and not…

Horrible customer service and not honoring their contract for pricing. You literally cannot get a hold of anyone about your account. They are all sales teams trying to have you extend your contract with a guaranteed rate. They don't listen. They are not responsive.

This company does not deserve 1 star

This company does not deserve 1 star. I have been with this company for 3 years. Loyalty means absolutely nothing to someone who has been with them. My electricity bill was 280.00 for 1 month. My bills doubled and a half from what I have been paying. To make matters worse they offered me a 14 Cent rate for 36 months and offered new customers 12.5 cents for 6 months. What a slap in the face. Whoever is looking for an electricity company is not the company to come to. The bait and switch they will pull on you as well as they have done to me....don't fall for it. Power to choose has all offers from different companies. You as the customer have the power to choose and not settle with greedy companies such as Constellation Energy. Micheal in compliance had the opportunity to keep this loyal customer and he did a good job by opening up my eyes and exploring all options. Should have made this decision a long time ago. If you come to Constellation you will be in the same situation I am in now...

Poor Customer Service and Long Wait Times.

Signed up online for my start date 30 days out. I noticed online after I hung up that they started my service on the day i called to this up. I called to fix the date and the CS rep could not find my account from the number that was showing online so he signed me up all over. He seemed to have difficulty comprehending what I wanted- got my name, phone and email wrong and the terms I saw online were different what he was offering. I was then becoming skeptical of the rep having the knowledge to assist so I cancelled the contract. I rang back after we hung up and sure enough the contact was still active and the 2nd rep was able to find the first account but said I had to contact CS cancellations. I was on the phone for 3 hours after the automated recording said I would be on hold for 2 minutes! That was enough to solidly my decision that this company will not have my business. Poor Customer Service overall and excessively long wait when you call for help.

Constellation Power Services

Constellation Power Services. Has one of the lowest kwh rates and credits the monthly bills based on usage, but the summer bills are very high anyways. Reps are not very helpful with bill pays for people in a financial hardship. No meaningful consideration offered during this pandemic, inspite of recorded messages offering help. Only help offered was a reference to a third party, who is not in the business of helping people due to very tight and impractical qualifications imposed to discourage applicants. No incentive to continue with the co.
