The app is very

The app is very, very bad. For the amount of users they have, they should create something better. On top of it, it is very buggy.

I like the watch but I really hope these reviews will make you think twice and fix the app and the bugs.

I am happy to change the review.

Last update was truly awful

Last update was truly awful. Still waiting for some common sense person to resolve it!
Everything that was good about the visual and usabiluty of the functions took a considerable jump back.

I routinely updated the app and enjoyed seeing the stack of visuals on the screen. Neat and well laid out.

The idiot who signed off on the fundamental changes has ruined the user experience and destroyed my confidence in buying any future garmin products.

Had problems creating an account with the Connect Garmin app, I kept getting blocked, this was efficiently and patiently sorted out once I made my second and third call to Garmin Customer Services. My VPN on my mobile was creating many problems, but I have since terminated that contract and now my Garmin Lily Classic and the App are working very well. All in all I am happy with what health stats Connect Garmin is providing me with.

Great watches, useless app, zero customer support.
I have a Garmin Instinct 2 solar, a D2 Mach1, BPM, and Index scale, which are pretty useless as Garmin Connect is utter garbage.
Connect only shows one or two useless data sets, like Body Battery and Stress. It won't show steps, HR, sleep, or any of the other data it supposed to.
Have spent hours trying to get help on chat and the phone trying to get it to work, but when customer services reaches the end of their script, they stop responding or hang up.
Until Garmin creates a reliable app, buying their products is a waste of money and they so far behind every other fitness ecosystem.

2024 UI update is awful

2024 UI update is a huge regression and has received enormous criticism from the community, including during the entire beta, but has essentially ignored users. With the new UI, very little information is available and you need to tab and scroll around to see the same thing that was originally in plain sight on the old home screen. I barely use the app anymore and am constantly frustrated when I do.

A huge step backwards.

The new update crushes the functionality of the app. It used to be simple and easy to navigate but now, it is much more inconvenient. Also, after the update, it doesn’t always automatically sync unless you go into the menu and initiate it yourself. It’s a complete fail.

New Garmin connect app is horrible

I've been a loyal Garmin user for many years and many generations of products. I'm now an ex customer that will never buy another Garmin anything ever again. The previous connect app on my android device and on Windows was great. I checked my health stats, exercises, training, etc multiple times a day. It inspired me to stay in shape and push well beyond what I ever though was possible at my age. Sadly, they 'updated' these apps ~ April 22 to a polar opposite tile view home page requiring digging many levels to find relevant data. Very frustrating and not at all motivational. Along with the 'upgrade' has come many data drops and no access to some of my long term data. Garmin's forum has many thousands of complaints with no response at all from Garmin. What a tone deaf horrible company

New update tanks functionality!

The new Garmin connect update is a nightmare. Ive been using the platform for years and this update has created such grief-missing information, lost steps at sync, and a homepage that is clumsy at best. It used to be a clean efficient app with data and details right up front and clearly visible. Now there's a mess of big tiles that you have to scroll through to find what you want...if you can find it at all. Workouts used to be highlighted with pertinent information on the Home Screen, now you have to go looking for what used to be right there.

Version4 was fantastic but the new version5 is a terrible downgrade that is not useful on a phone and Garmin doesn’t seem to be interested in customer feedback at all.
So many posts asking to revert back globally because of this new version!

The new home screen is terrible

The new home screen is terrible. I've used Garmin for years and go in the app multiple times a day (A LOT). Now it's not worth it. I have to hunt for the date that i could see on opening before. The writing is too small I need my glasses so unusable in the gym. The tiles are huge and have a lot of empty space and I have to scroll for the same info. I hope they revert back as it's useless to me the way it is.
