horrible customer service

I am building a large clock and had some basic questions about space requirements for various movements. Tried to call dozens of times but always got the answering machine and was always directed to email customer support with my questions. Customer support replies were not timely and did not answer my specific questions. Lots of excuses on the answering machine for not answering... covid? Weather? Come on, that's pretty lame. I do not recommend ordering from this company if you expect any kind of customer support.

Don’t buy products here.

I ordered some clock parts online at clockparts.com
After completing the order I noticed the part number was incorrect. I called and got a recording about changed business hours due to COVID?
I sent an email and explained the order was incorrect for the clock mechanism and regencies the correct one. Received a reply saying order was submitted to customer service and would be updated when possible? I responded thanking them for the reply and waited. Logged into site to see status. Still showing wrong part. I emailed again. Received email that order was shipped showing wrong part number. Emailed back… Yesterday 6/30 I ordered parts on Amazon. Of course ClockParts was not listed. Received and fixed my clock. Contacted through email “April” that the part shipped was wrong and I requested an RMA# number for refund. She replied “Company Policies” require I pay to ship back. But there is “No Refund” Only warranty. Filed a complaint with BBB which I discovered this 40 yr old business was not part of. I was told by April that the documentation would not show correct part number because it was done through the back door.
IT term for changing within the app. However they could have then updated invoice and account status. That would mess up inventory, apparently not an issue here. As I was filing my complaint I thought I would check tracking number. My account does not exist, and order number doesn’t either. Seems very crooked. Do not buy anything here! Although it’s not going to kill me to lose $27, I believe that getting the word out is important. Businesses should honor their mistakes not profit from them. Upset yes! No good faith here. 80% customers on this site give a “low” rating. Should have looked them up before ever considering a purchase. Don’t know when the parts will arrive. Was fixing my Dads clock in Vegas and live in Southern California.

Shortly after posting this, they sent me an invoice copy with the correct part number. No tracking number, there’s no point because I don’t have any use for this. Not even worth the money lost. Should have played a slot machine, the odds would have been better. Very bitter I got ripped off.

Original shipment was missing two…

Original shipment was missing two parts, contacted them immediately. Customer service took three days to respond, which was after a follow up email from me requesting a response and then they only responded to one part of my email. Then I was putting together the movement to test it and realized the movement had no lock nut which their documentation says are included with all movements. Again, multiple requests and I get an email says she would have to submit another "replacement" request if I still want the lock nut. I immediately responded that Yes, I want the lock nut, I paid for it. Another business day and still no response.
Horrible distribution and really terrible customer service. It is now two weeks after I received the original pieces and still do not have and have not been shipped all of the parts. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Made an order of 4 items and it was ALL wrong

Made an order of 4 items, totaling $147 shipped. One was a clock face, of which they sent the wrong one. I sent an email to support for which they replied they sent the correct face, I ordered it so its mine. funny thing is, the email she sent back to me had my original order on it. You can scroll down and see the face and its part number, toss that in google and it takes you to the part I wanted, not what they shipped. They basically told me to pound sand and never replied after that. Can not recommend avoiding enough. bad policies, bad shipping department and bad info on the site. And lastly, one item was a $92 clock body. On the clock body website page, THEY show hands that they recommend for THAT body. The hands do not fit, so basically none of my order was right.

No service, poor delivery

They won't answer their phone and their email is useless. They don't respond to that either.

I ordered a clock dial for less than $100 and they shipped it FedEx - signature required. That sucks. FedEx was to deliver on Monday between 9:00 and 1:00. I stayed home for the delivery. Then they changed it to Tuesday, same times. Then they changed it to sometime before 8:00 pm. The entire world revolves around FedEx.

Companies should be required to disclose that they are requiring a signature at the time of sale, but ClockParts is too sleazy for that. They are on my list of companies never to do business with again.

Bad dimensions

The information on the different parts is incorrect. They have bad measurements so that when you go to install it, you can’t do as they show and as they demonstrate on the videos. Everything looks really good until you discovered that the dimensions are false. Very, very bad customer service..

Very slow response to emails

Very slow response to emails. No phone number given - the customer is just a nuisance.
Prices are high considering the apparent poor quality. I bought a replacement clock for just £2 more than the movement.

Poor Quality and Service

These movements are poor quality. The first high torque USA made movement I purchased always ran slow then died a year later. They did eventually replace it under warranty, and that one lasted just about a year as well. Customer service is unresponsive and like pulling teeth. Look elsewhere.

Horrible Customer Support

I ordered a Cuckoo Clock kit for over $100 from them. The kit was shipped and arrived in a reasonable time. However, there were absolutely no instructions supplied with the components. There were some limited instructions on the dimensions on the order page, but nothing to indicate where the holes needed to be cut in relation to the component. For instance, was the hole for the cuckoo door cut in relation to the top of the component or something else?

The clock face is secured to the mechanism behind by 4 screws, however the screws were not supplied. There were no instructions on how to install the hands to point correctly and set the correct time.

I sent three emails to the support address, and submitted a help request via their website form over a week ago.

They are the only purveyor of some of the clock mechanisms they sell, but if they do not provide the screws and all parts, and they cannot provide instructions, they are worthless to buy from.

I have emailed multiple times only to be told that they have sent message on to shipping department. I was making a gift for a friend's birthday, I needed the Item, the birthday has come and gone now and still no email that my Item, which was paid for on January 24th. I'll never use this company again, I wish I would have read all the bad reviews before I placed my order.

Purchased the HIGH TORQUE battery…

Purchased the HIGH TORQUE battery movement, what a JOKE suppose to move 18 inch hands without effort. Spent $32.00+ with shipping. Just bought a $7.95 plus tax at Michaels, works better with my 8 inch hands, How can this be, they are a RIP OFF, don't waste your time or money.

I had successfully ordered from CP…

I had successfully ordered from CP several times for replacement movements, and these went well. The last time, I ordered a movement with three hands (HMS) matched to the movement. All went well until I tried to install the second hand, and it would not go on to the shaft. After trying to call (they don't take calls because of Covid...strange reason), so I emailed with details. A day of two later, someone named Aziel Dalusong responded on 10/11/23 and requested pictures, which I send immediately on 10/11/23 and then emailed again on 10/13 with better closeups. Hearing nothing, I followed up with an email on 10/17/23 and still no response as of 10/23/23, so I have to assume I got taken as others here have described. Four words of advice: DO NOT ORDER HERE.

I knew I was in trouble when I called…

I knew I was in trouble when I called the customer service number and was instructed to send an email for the safety of the employees during the pandemic. In Sept of 2023. No response. No email response. No phone number to call. Crappy clock that is all scratched up.

This is one star too many for this…

This is one star too many for this outfit. My order was incorrect and incomplete. I asked for parts return instructions, and no response. They will not answer my inquiries, and are unconcerned about the incorrect order that was received.
Please be aware of the unreliability, lack of confidence and concern that this company exhibits.

Great Source for Clock Parts

I have a 35 year old brass desk clock in which the movement died. Clockparts.com has a wide variety of movements, hands, and other parts. They also are quick to respond to questions, and have helpful information on the website. I ordered over the weekend. The order shipped on Monday and arrived Wednesday.
Note: The hands are in the box. They are taped to the invoice, with the hour hand and minute hand back to back. Easy to overlook.
