Repeated Failures, Empty Promises, and Dismissive Customer Service
I’ve had two nearly identical bad experiences with Chubbies, one last year, and again this year. Both times involved delayed shipping, vague timelines, and poor communication.
Last year, after my order was delayed, a rep named Melissa personally offered me a resolution: the $40 sale price plus 50% off for 3 months. I appreciated the gesture, until I found out most the items I wanted never came back in stock. I never got to use the offer, and it quietly expired.
This year, I gave Chubbies another shot. Once again, my order was split and delayed beyond their stated shipping window. When I brought up last year’s broken promise and asked for a resolution that actually meant something, I was brushed off with a generic 15% code, the kind you send to anyone. When I pushed further, they told me “there’s nothing further we can offer.”
This isn’t just about slow shipping. It’s about a clear pattern of overpromising, underdelivering, and refusing to take accountability. What’s worse is they acknowledge the prior issue but won’t make it right.
Chubbies seems more focused on quirky branding than actually standing behind their customer experience. I’l came here to make sure others know what kind of “support” they can expect when things go wrong.
