It's a good website, however some of the filters for cars seem a bit pointless while some others are missing. Having to always scroll past "sponsored" adverts is a waste of time. Also, your adverts... See more

Bought a car from Hilton Car Supermarket. Was very exited about it until washed it and had a really close look at it. It was well prepared so hardly noticeable but looks like it was damaged and resprayed on driver side rear door and back panel.
Rang them to talk about it but they said that they buying their cars from auctions!!! And they don't have any details of it being damaged and repaired and that this is only a cosmetic issue, car drives fine and they can't help in any way.
People beware.

Happy Lady
There was a good selection of cars on the website and I found exactly what I was looking for at a garage which is fairly local to me - which I would not found without CarGurus.

Perhaps CarGurus could vet their sellers before agreeing to advertise the vehicle.
I recently bought an Insignia after travelling from Hastings to Reading. Whilst driving the car back home the gear selector failed 20 miles from Hastings I had to call the RAC to register with them and managed to get back with their assistance. A new Selector was bought and fixed in time for us to make our holiday booked for the following week. Upon arriving at our holiday destination the rear brakes seized, with the RAC mechanic advising that the front brake pads will soon need replacing.
We have since been advised that the cam belt will be due to be renewed.
All in all the cost of repairs amounted to over £1500.
I, and others, honestly believe the seller must have had knowledge of all this.
To place another person's safety in danger for the sake of the price of a second hand car is despicable.
Regrettably this is not the first and will not be the last time it happens.
David.

Car Not Received
I paid for the car in full including delivery charge on 16th June, When it had not arrived by 4th July I had to ask for a refund [which I got 7th July]. Excuse after excuse after excuse. I would not reccommend Hartington Motors to even my worst enemy ! Today (7/7/25) I fully expected to have to contact trading standards in Wigan but got my money back !

I saw a car I liked sent two message to the garage. Through CarGurus. They did not respond. On the second call all the owner of the garage said was it’s sold.
What a way to run a business. ☹️
