There are nothing but cunning and not customer friendly. Their website does not have an option to delete your account nor the card details stating it as default payment. Do not take their subscription, you will be charged $27.99 every month though they market the $1 for 7 days. I remember I cancelled the subscription right after I viewed my car report and then yet they charged me for 2 months. Gladly I noticed and now I don't want anyone to be scammed the way I was. Be cautious of them.

Subject: Company website review

Dear Bumper LLC
I am writing to formally dispute monthly charges that began appearing on my account from your company starting in November 2024. I have no recollection of visiting your website, subscribing to any service, or authorizing any payments. These charges started when I was visiting the USA and have continued without my knowledge or consent.

As I do not recall any engagement with your service, I am requesting the immediate cancellation of any active account under my name or card.

This matter WAS NOT resolved properly, therefore I have no choice but to escalate it with my bank or card provider as fraudulent activity.

I also do not have any need to use your service. I do not drive in the USA or UK. Nor do I possess a car.

Horrible! I cancelled this after the site was no help on our vehicle. I called and cancelled but was charged again. The phone system does not help you at all. Had to cancel my credit card. I want my money back!!

Absolutely worthless Site did immediately identify the vehicle correctly but gave me no title or ownership info at all. It did not even list original ownership, origin of vehicle nothing Absolutely waste of money and I stopped credit card payment

As you just experienced, sometimes the information they collect is not always 100% correct. Sometimes records are incomplete as a result of being filtered through different systems or because of typographic errors when moving the records from paper to computerized format. Dealing with millions of records is not the easiest process and while we put every effort into making our data as accurate as possible, we are dependent upon the sources providing us correct information.

Do Not Use if your car is older than 1980

Used them to search for an old Car I purchased - without title, I need to prove there are no liens/bonds/salvage etc.
Went through the wizard using the last know license plate - progress bar moves along, tells me my report is waiting.
Pay the fee...
"no results found" is the message.
Tried again with the chassis number...
Same result.
Asked for a refund - told no and they closed my account on the spot.

They advertised a trial for their…

They advertised a trial for their service for $1 first month and then if not cancelled I would be charged $27.99. Instead after one week they charged my Paypal. I emailed for a refund, but all they did was cancel my subscription. They will not respond to any emails requesting a refund. I didn't even get the information I was looking for when I purchased their service to begin with. And you won't get anywhere if try to call their phone # either. No rep to talk to.

Unauthorized charges

Ordered an initial report for $1. I cancelled before the "trial" period expired. Bumper tried to charge my PayPal $28, anyway. I immediately caught the fraudulent charge, and PayPal reversed the charge and refunded my $28. Thank goodness PayPal helps protect against dirty thieves like Bumper.

Information not complete on vehicle and…

Information not complete on vehicle and did not help identify owner. Took the $1, 7 day plan. Cancelled same day as I took the plan by email but did not receive a confirmation. On day two I called to confirm the cancellation of my account. Phone service number allows you to indicate cancel but when you confirm it "claims error" and sends you back to the beginning. I will be watching my cc for any charges and reversing them. I would not recommend this service because of the difficult in cancelling the membership.
