BobLeisure Won’t Let Me Cancel My Order – And I’m Not Alone

I made a purchase on BobLeisure.com and realized I needed to cancel it just 30 minutes later. Sounds simple, right? Not with this company.

Here’s what happened:
1. **No way to actually contact them** – No customer service email, no working phone number (their listed hours are a joke), just a contact form that disappears into the void.
2. **24+ hours with no response** – Meanwhile my order is probably getting ready to ship, making cancellation even harder.
3. **Their “easy cancellation” policy is a lie** – The website claims you can cancel anytime before shipping, but multiple reviews show they ignore cancellation requests until it’s too late.

**What I’ve Learned From Other Customers:**
After digging into reviews and forums, I discovered this isn’t just bad luck – it’s how BobLeisure operates:

- **They ignore cancellation requests routinely** – Many people report the exact same experience I’m having.
- **Surprise fees at checkout** – Some customers get hit with unexpected import duties (10% or more) that weren’t shown upfront.
- **Return nightmares** – If you do get your item, returning it costs €25 + international shipping (often $100+).
- **CEO only helps when publicly shamed** – “Sven” occasionally responds to Trustpilot complaints, but why should we have to air our grievances publicly just to get basic customer service?

**This Isn’t Just Bad Service – It Might Be Illegal**
New FTC rules require companies to make cancellation as easy as purchase. BobLeisure’s practices seem to violate this. In the EU, consumers have 14-day cancellation rights that BobLeisure makes impossible to use.

**What BobLeisure Needs to Fix:**
1. A REAL customer service channel (email, phone, chat – pick one!)
2. Honor your advertised cancellation policy
3. Stop hiding fees until the last minute

**Warning to Other Shoppers:**
If you buy here:
- Use a credit card so you can dispute charges
- Take screenshots of everything
- Know that “customer service” is basically nonexistent

Single worst retail experience of my life

Buy anywhere else. My return was a 6 month nightmare. The instructions got the package to customs but it would stall without the retailer's acknowledgement. Since they scarcely respond to email, weeks would go by. The response to me was usually from new contacts to an email you cannot reply. My return timed out three times in customs and was shipped back because the retailer don’t respond. I had my company do all the shipping and research (Amazon- they know a thing). We watched them closely and this company took no accountability. I wish I had known how difficult these people want to make things for you. The company sent me a label finally and accepted the package and once they confirmed receipt they still held on to my money for months so I let Amex handle them. Just bad business practices.

They are a BS company. The prices look good, but there are hidden fees and costs that they do not tell you about, especially if your order is over $750.
Save yourself the hassle, time, and in the long run-money, and DO NOT BUY from this company.

I tried to cancel my order immediately…

I tried to cancel my order immediately after submitting (wrong item, my error and made several attempts through your website's "contact us" to cancel and never got a response. Instead. I have a $300+ bike wheel hub I need to sell, likely at a loss, because shipping it back would cost me more than I'll lose selling it. Never buying from you again and recommending to all my cycling friends not to. Ridiculously bad customer service.

I ordered an avalanche beacon at the beginning of May, June is almost over and they still haven’t shipped it. I’ve messaged multiple times, each time with a response extending the anticipated ship date. I’ve asked for a cancellation and a refund and haven’t heard anything from them since.
