-1 star, no stars. As recommended by a Detective working on my original scam case with Bitcoin Depot i reached out to the company to see if I could get trans action fees refunded to me. It took almost a month to get hold of some one. When I did, I was told the ONLY way they would refund my money is by Bitcoin. Not true
Bitcoin will issue a check. I was told to down load a app to help representive get things set up for me. He had me download at least 4 crypto wallets to my phone. Stated it was part of the "process"to get back my money. At times he was angry with me, because I wanted a check instead. i was told that i needed to deposit $1999.00 in to the Cash App Wallet. Again I asked for a check. During this time he must have accesses my banking info. I did not give him any banking information, the entire time I have my banking page open, BOOM, the money was pulled from the account, he said that he worked for Bitcoin Depot for 6 years, yada yada yada. Once he was able to get that money into Cash App Wallet, he said that he needed to start working on the case.
He called me the next day and wanted me to open another wallet and deposit $945. I said no and that I wanted my other money back. the conversation ended. I raced to my bank, had to close out all my accounts and open new ones. Debt card had to be cancelled. New checks made. File another fraud claim. the Bitcoin Number listed on their website was disconnected when i called 678-435-9604. They don't answer their emails I researched on line to find a customer support number. 1-855-773-0359 is clearly not a number to call, it is a scam. I was a victim, i wanted to get my money back. I reached out in good faith. They made me feel like a victim again. I will not pursue my money anymore. These places need to be shut down, but as long as they get your money any way they can, they don't care.

It's not fair to charge that much in fees.

They should be arrested for stealing
Used this ATM yesterday. I put $2820 cash into the machine. I only received $1978 worth of Bitcoin. They charged me $842 in fees. I called they customer service and was told that they had a spreadsheet on what their fees were and that I accepted that fee schedule. I was sent a copy of the terms and conditions which after reading them, section 9.1's states that the machine would communicate with me on what the fees would be prior to me completing the transaction. And this never happened not once did a fee except for the $3 flat fee ever pop up on their screen. So then I emailed their support team to get a refund on that $842 only to be emailed back stating that before I even put the money in the machine I was informed on the screen the amount I would be charged.
"The service fee will be a flat fee of three dollars ($3.00) and Bitcoin Depot shall charge a spread between seventeen and three tenths percent (17.3%) and fifty percent (50%) of the total transaction amount calculated in USD depending upon location."
But That's not true because they charge the flat fee plus a percentage of the total transaction amount and they would not have that total transaction amount until after you put your money in the machine. So it's all just a big lie to rip your money off. If you get ripped off go to the better Business bureau and file complaint with them like I'm doing. The Bitcoin Depot took 1/3 of the money I put in the machine for fees. I don't know if that's legal cuz it seems like it's stealing everybody's money

NEVER AGAIN
NEVER AGAIN.
Have used bitcoin depot several times in the past year. Usual fee was around $15-$20usd.
Yesterday they took $100.00 usd For the same Amount that I had gotten before i And not charged Anywhere near that much.
I did reach out to them and got a very flat reply pointing out their fee structure. Which basically states they could charge you Fifteen or twenty dollars or they can charge you a lot more apparently depending on...well they don't actually say.

DON’T. JUST DON’T. Use Coinbase or P2P like Robinhood
My first time buying bitcoin. I purchased $420 worth of bitcoin, and given that the ONLY INFORMATION PROVIDED about any fees was a $3 transaction fee, I expected about $417 worth of bitcoin in my wallet. Sure, that’s fine.
Nope. I received just shy of $300 worth of BTC in my account. They charge ridiculously high hidden fees that they put in the fine print, called “spread” fees which I didn’t know about because I’m just a beginner with this. Bitcoin Depot can steal between about 17-50% of your coin and the fact that they knowingly don’t put any info about these spread fees anywhere visible on their kiosk or throughout the buying process tells you they are very much trying to take advantage of people who don’t know better and line their own pockets. Completely immoral business practices, I hope they are sued into oblivion and the executives behind this despicable behavior go into abject poverty. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Super high above mafia loan shark…
Super high above mafia loan shark rates. When bitcoin was trading in the low 60k range. This Bitcoin Depot charged me 87k for my 200 dollar fiat rate. What a rip off. In the past the mafia was jailed for these type of rates. Complete rip off.

**WARNING
**WARNING: AVOID BITCOIN DEPOT AND THEIR KIOSKS**
I strongly urge anyone considering Bitcoin Depot to think carefully before proceeding.
While their kiosks advertise a $3 transaction fee, this is misleading. Many users, myself included, assume that the displayed amount accurately reflects what will be credited to their wallets. After inserting $200, I was shocked to receive only $139—an astonishing 31% loss!
The real issue is that Bitcoin Depot appears to rely on the assumption that most customers won’t double-check the BTC amount displayed. They present their fees in a way that seems straightforward, yet hidden and misleading fees are obscured, creating the illusion of a fair transaction. This practice can result in significant financial losses for unsuspecting users.
Charging hidden and misleading fees is a serious problem, and companies like Bitcoin Depot should be required to display the full price upfront, including all applicable fees. Transparency is essential for consumers to make informed decisions and avoid being taken advantage of.
To protect yourself, always verify the BTC amount displayed on the kiosk before finalizing your transaction. A quick online search for "BTC to USD" can help confirm if the amount you’re receiving is accurate and confirm if your being shortchanged.
Moreover, beginning July 1, 2024, the “Honest Pricing Law” (SB 478) will make it illegal for businesses to advertise prices without including all required fees, excluding certain taxes and shipping costs. This raises significant questions about Bitcoin Depot’s pricing practices and compliance with consumer protection laws.
While they claim that all fees are clearly displayed and that customers must agree to their terms, this does not absolve them of the responsibility for the confusion many users face. Their system can easily mislead those who are not familiar with cryptocurrency transactions.
In conclusion, if you choose to use Bitcoin Depot, proceed with caution. Protect your hard-earned money by being proactive and informed. I highly recommend exploring alternative services that prioritize transparency and fair pricing. Your financial security is crucial—stay vigilant and informed.

Got an email from them saying that they will give me $5.00 in return for me signing some petition to some senator in California. So I did. This was on Aug. 19 now 28 days later and 50 emails later I have nothing. $5.00 isn’t enough to worry about but to me it’s the integrity if you aren’t going to honor your word of service then you should not even be in business.
