Biolite headlamp

I had a problem with my Biolite headlamp 800 Pro. When I spoke to the customer service about it. The needed some info and after that they replaced the entire headlamp.

Biolite Customer Service Was/Is Amazing

I had a great experience with the Biolite support team, the representative that worked with me was amazing. I had issues with my AlpenGlow 250, a light I really enjoy, and I reached out to the service team to see if there was a trouble shooting option to remedy the issues. They were very responsive as we trouble shot the issue through sending videos, addressing use scenarios, and giving temperature ranges to try find the issue. They ended up sending a new light to me as we came to the conclusion that it was a faulty light.
This was the best customer support experience I've had.

My fire pit+ battery wasn’t working and…

My fire pit+ battery wasn’t working and wouldn’t charge so I contacted BioLite and asked for help. My contact Layn was great. Walked me through all the steps to try and recover the battery and get it charging again but no luck. I ended up having to replace it but the process was painless and the professionalism and follow up was great. So for me, great products, great customer service.

GREAT Customer Service

I received a Biolite FirePit as a gift that was still new in undamaged box. However upon opening it the FirePit itself was heavily dented on one side..? Must have happened at the factory..? Anyways, I emailed for support, not knowing the FirePit was actually over two years old, and Customer Service Rep Layn Lapuz informed me it was out of warranty. However, after a few emails back and forth Layn told me BioLite was going to send me a replacement for free! Now that's great customer support! Thanks.
I also received the Biolite 1500 Power Supply with Solar Panel as a gift at the same time. I just want to note that after apparently sitting for over two years in the box the power supply was still charged to 99 percent when I opened it.. I plan on using it in my garage/yard for power so I can cycle the battery over the coming years.

They say its youre own fault you have to charge it regular but there is nothing standing over in the manual that you have to charge is regular base

My reconmender is dont buy it look for a beter alternatief

Customer Service was Excellent

I can see customer service from these reviews are polar opposite. My experience has been great.

I bought a Headlamp 330 from Amazon in 2022. The Headlamp fits amazing, loved the functions including the red light and it fit nice & snug. Real happy with my purchase. The battery however eventually went. I thought I was over warranty so left contacting anyone until just recently. BioLite had left Amazon so I contacted them directly. I found their customer service pretty excellent. I've just received a brand new HeadLamp425 in the post so am chuffed.

He simply has the best customer service…

He simply has the best customer service I have ever experienced. I love the firepit but I had misplaced a grille. They answered me immediately and followed me through the whole process and in three days, paying only for the part and not even much shipping, it arrived in Italy.

Abysmal Customer Service for an Overpriced Metal Box

Purchased the firepit and accessories totalling over 600.00
A bit steep but figured it would be a useful item for camping. Purchased online in June and finally got to setting it up in August to find the screws missing for the carrying handles. Another friend who recommended the unit said they had a different issue and simply emailed the company and it was easily resolved. That was certainly not my experience. Started emailing Aug 10th, simply asking what the type of screw was so I could source it locally as this would likely be faster than them sending them. Despite me explaining as clearly as possible,
(multiple times) what the issue was they essentially asked the same question and asked "for which handle"..ok..
Provided photos of the handles, again, and all the other info they asked for. Here is what I received: " We have both the handles and screws available for $25. If you're interested, please send me your email address linked to your PayPal account, along with your preferred shipping address. I'll take care of the rest for you.

I'll keep an eye out for your response.

So...again, I explain that I DON'T NEED THE handles and I'm certainly not paying $25 for screws. I YET AGAIN ask them to TELL ME the info for the screws cuz it would be really nice to not have to carry a red hot box on fire... They respond asking for more info... the receipt I received was digitalfrom Sport Check so I sent every section of that.

We have 3 other couples camping with us that have witnessed this exchange so, suffice to say, they or anyone they know won't be buying this. It's one thing to have pieces missing on a metal box that costs 300.00 on its own but having "service" that can't understand how to simply provide information (i searched all pf the instructions and there is no info on it) about how to get said missing parts and instead offers to let you pay MORE, is not a company I would recommend endorsing.

Excellent Gear

Excellent Gear , bought a few of the biolite campstove 2 plus , these stoves are amazing 👏 the ability to cook in the backcountry plus being able to charge gear is a win for backpacking unless you cry about ul backpacking, personally though a little bit of weight for something so useful is fine by me and my Members love these things.

SUPER customer service ..

SUPER customer service ...

I had issues with charging my battery/fan for my BioLite Firepit.

Wrote to customer support and same day got a reply with details on how I could try to problem solve. Did not work out - and realized the battery probably was damaged / charging unit - therefor wrote again how/where I could buy a new battery unit - hence my Firepit was out of warranty (>2,5 years old). Again - super quick reply, and ending up in them sending me a new battery package - instead of me having to buy a complete new FirePit package. Environmental friendly solution... And today, just received the new battery package - under a week since I initially contacted Customer Support.

Wow - just amazing support - simply world class.

Was already a big fan of their great products - now also of the company's Customer Support.

This is a scam type very deceptive…

This is a scam type very deceptive company posing as a UK website showing a UK Union Jack flag, and all prices marked up in Sterling pounds, Later What they tell you is the products come from Netherlands, but in fact the delivery is from USA Brooklyn, and so you then get another 20% slapped on for UK VAT TAX, bumping up the cost another 20%. A light for example £179.99 in in fact over £215 which is way over the top pricing as I bought here in the UK the same type of lighting for £138 and another set at £110. To receive my order cost me an additional £119.74 or I loose my order waiting weeks for it. The website should state clearly a notice that " ALL UK ORDERS WILL BE SUBJECT TO ADDITIONAL 20% ON TOP OF THE TOTAL COST AS DOES NOT INCLUDE VAT" All UK Buyer beware of this, there's nothing on the website to indicate goods come from abroad. Guess they forgot to mention it!!! Since the incident after many emails and repeated chasing them, demanding a refund of this due to deceptive marketing, they totally ignored me, NO REPLY! I wonder why!

Amazing customer service and Products

Had two issues with products I bought, first was my Biolite grill, it did not seem to fit well after around 18 months of usage. I sent customer service an email and 2 days later they responded. I sent pics and they sent me a new grill out. No questions no problem. It arrived in 2 weeks and fits lovely.
Second issue was with a Firepit+ battery that did not charge.
Again I sent customer service an email and they relied within 2 days. I followed their instructions again and emailed back with pics and stuff. And again they have just posted out a new battery.

Their products are very very good and for hiking and camping they are second to none.

Their customer service are polite and once you have a ticket going they responded fast.

100% would continue buying their products.

They have the worst customer service

They have the worst customer service. Waiting for days to get an RMA still no response after writing them a few times also some of my things they did not even ship out yet I was charged. Worst experience with this company and products look cheaply made too.

Probe melted

Probe melted, customer support told me to just buy a new one. Sorry, cant help you. The hypocrisy of trying to be a green company, if it breaks, no warranty, chuck it in the garbsge and buy a new one. Horrible company.

Update: i posted a similar review on their website, and they deleted it. Only room for positive reviews there obviously. Our staff has read your review and values your contribution even though it did not meet all our website guidelines. Thanks for sharing, and we hope to publish next time!
