Bid on two storage sheds at Edwin C…

Bid on two storage sheds at Edwin C Moses. Both times I arrived and the item was not there. Employee said "stuff disappears all the time here" so I turn my search to FB and find an identical listing to the 2nd shed, photos and all. I for some reason bid on and won a third shed listed as "Brand New". The listing had no photos there than the manufacturers info copy and pasted. When my receipt for the item arrived the listing suddenly has "incomplete item" added to the description with two new photos of the 1 box. They will not refund and basically I am out $1K for half a shed. I've purchased a number of items from other locations with no issues, this location is shady as it gets ALWAYS, someone with similar issues as mine at the checkout area.

Avoid them, you will save yourself aggravation.

I purchased about ten items from them over a two month period. Eight of the items were as described. We all like getting a good deal. They were all brand new condition. I then bought two oak chairs brand new. I get the home and the chairs are mid century modern, not oak Fortunately, my wife liked them so no harm no foul. The original box for the oak chairs contained the wrong chairs, thus an employee or someone along the line switched out the chairs. Now the last straw. I recently won an auction for a galano avaro nightstand. I get it home and not only is it the wrong item and damaged, but there are zero instructions on how to assemble what I brought home. I contact the company and Landis tells me I should have checked my item, unboxed the item, to inspect to make sure I received what I purchased before I left the disgusting warehouse. There are like 25 pieces jammed into this box that was obviously opened and re taped. So, I’m out $49 so not the end of the world but remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

When winning a pallet auction the MSRP…

When winning a pallet auction the MSRP was way off on the items I received, and you are basically buying a large box of trash. I bought 9 pallets for a total of $1300 after fees and only one I could Sell. they were so bad I wished they hadn't seen some of my pallets because I would have just left them. Let my mistake help you for the future. I won't do that again.

Policies do not match what is stated on website

I picked up 3 items at the Edwin C Moses location earlier today. These were listed as "Brand New". The employee that checked me out informed this was a new policy, and that refunds would be given only if the item listed was the wrong item. I specifically asked about "what if a brand new item was missing parts or incorrectly graded", he told me I would had to contact customer support. Guess what, two items were missing critical parts, and one was definitely used. Customer support tells me the policy is the same it has always been. It seems like this location has its own policies, which can change at any time, even after you pay for your items.

Deceptive Product Listings – Be Warned

I recently won an auction on BidFTA for what was clearly listed as a Logitech G815 mechanical keyboard — a premium product that retails for around $130. I placed bids appropriate for that item, expecting to receive what was advertised.

However, when I arrived to pick it up, I was handed a Logitech MK270, a basic wireless keyboard/mouse combo worth about $30. To make matters worse, the final price I paid was nearly the same as what a brand new MK270 would cost in stores — completely defeating the purpose of using BidFTA in the first place.

When I reached out, BidFTA refused to offer any refund or resolution, citing their "As-Is" policy. But this goes beyond normal "as-is" expectations — this was a completely different product than what was listed. That’s not a condition issue — it’s false advertising.

Their current system enables a dangerous loophole. For example, they could list an iPhone in the auction title and description, then give you a TCL Flip 2 at pickup — and still claim it’s valid under “As-Is” because technically both are “cell phones.” This kind of setup opens the door for bait-and-switch practices, and BidFTA takes zero accountability when it happens.

Be warned: you are not just bidding — you’re gambling. There’s no guarantee you’ll receive the item as described, and their policies are built to protect them, not the customer. I will not be using this service again, and I strongly caution others to think twice before placing a bid.

My first experince with BIDFTA

Hello, I would like to share my first experience with the online auction called BIDFTA. I am an average bidder. Everything I bid on has been considered a family household need. My first experience with online bidding was through Macbids, a northeastern Ohio and Pennsylvania bidding area. The closest warehouse is in Akron, Ohio. BIDFTA is local for me, with four warehouses in the Columbus, Ohio, area.  I am a BIDFTA member plus, which only helps with early bin shopping at the Chandry Road, Columbus, Ohio, location. The 2.99-a-month membership plus fee is reasonable.
Online bidding is simple. There is a filter mode where one can check specific warehouses, ending bidding dates, and item categories on which you are interested in bidding. It is easy to scroll through all the items available for bidding. You can enter a maximum bid price that you are willing to pay or an incremental bid. If you like the item, enter a maximum bid. The conditions of items are listed as "brand new," "good condition," "verified working," and "as is."  Calling anything at an auction bidding site "brand new" is a bold strategy of listing something because an original box could have been open for missing hardware or an item was used and returned to the original box.   BIDFTA will refund or provide you with a bidder's credit for a "mislabeled" item initially listed as a “brand new” item that is not “brand new”. Remember, a “brand new” item is supposed to be sealed and in its original box according BIDFTA return policy. For the refund policy to work, you must report an issue with the item before checking out. You cannot return anything once you leave the facility.  Also, ensure you examine your won item near the checkout area and in the view of warehouse staff.
I won 27 items on my first day. I spent $531.72 on items plus $120.33 for buyer premium and a freight surcharge for $652.05. Had I bought everything through Amazon, I would have paid $1981. Out of the 27 items I won, three were returned. A "brand new" gaming chair had damage to the back. The chair was not in its original packaging. However, the chair had multiple scuffs and a rip along the back on inspection. A jumpstarter listed as “brand new” had wear and tear along the bottom of the pack and rust on both jumpers.  Lastly, an electric chain saw, also listed as “brand new”, had been used since it was packed with sawdust and other debris. I missed a damaged garden hose listed as “brand new”; one end was snapped off. Oops. I took a 20-dollar loss on that.
Out of 26 items listed as “brand new” in the original box and one “good condition” item. Eighteen items appeared “brand new” and in their original box. 5 items I would have considered in “good condition” but were listed as “brand new” were not sealed or in their original boxes. However, they appeared “brand new” and undamaged, except for the one garden hose that slipped through a thorough inspection. Three items were returned as “mislabeled”. I would have labeled them "as is" because they were far from “brand new”.  The only “good condition” item that I won was damaged. It had a crack in the structure. I could have attempted a return, but what "good condition" is is a subjective argument.
Overall, 85 percent of the items won were a great deal. The reason I will continue to shop at BIDFTA is their return policy. The three items I could return based on BIDFTA's mislabeled return policy totaled 190.60, which I gladly returned as bidder credit. Thank you, BIDFTA, for being an excellent bidding site with a great return policy.

I bought a DZ Strad Viola and to be fair it was listed in as in condition. they listed retail price at $1600.
Opened it at home and discovered it was not DZ Strad brand, but rather a Cremona brand worth over $1000 less than listed. Then I noticed it is a violin and not a viola! All one had to do was open the case and read the tags. They either did not and took a very wild guess or were deliberately deceptive.
I have bought several things through BidFTA that were reasonable, but this was totally unacceptable and i have lost trust in this organization

Buyer Beware!

Buyer Beware!
I bought a make up vanity with lighted mirror that was deemed as "good condition" that should have been marked as "as is" or better yet "trashed". Pieces were completely broken in 2, drawers had entire corners missing and the mirror was completely shattered. When I sent an email, they told me I needed to open the box and check everything before I left as per their policy. Pretty sure that should be their job since they are supposedly checking the item to determine what condition it is in. This box was Extremely heavy and had hundreds of pieces parts in it. There is no way I could have gone through all of this there before leaving. The mirror was in a separate package and was obviously never opened to be checked. I understand the prices are low and do expect things not to be perfect but don't mark them as good condition when it is basically garbage. This is nothing but a trap for the consumer. Bait and switch to say the least. Don't waste your hard earned money and time with this place.

How is this place still in business?!?

How is this place still in business?!?! They list items online showing stock photos in full detail as if you were buying the item new. If they show any photo of the item you actually are bidding on it barely shows the item and you cannot see the condition. Some listings they are too lazy to even take the item out of the box. They make excuses saying with the volume of items they list they cannot take detailed photos. This is their JOB! Listing an item as "brand new" that is outside of the package and opened plus missing items is not new! You are not allowed to open packages until after you have checked out at the front. The only space they give you to inspect your items are two small tables at the front of the store. Workers ignore you while you're standing there waiting to speak with someone if your item has an issue and you need a refund. If you ask for assistance finding your items they act as though you are bothering them. My experience in the past week is over half of the money I spent ,$250 worth my items are in poor condition. Items listed as new condition that aren't even in the original package. Good Condition items that are damaged and cannot be used. When I demanded a refund the rude manager had the nerve to tell me they do not sell packages, just the items. She refused to refund me. If you look at their website it clearly states a new item is in its original package sealed. Manager told me to reach support for assistance refund.. You may as well forget any help from support. They copy and paste "policy" then will ignore your emails from the support ticket. If they are claiming something is Brand new, newsflash new would be in it's original package. Trying to get a refund from them is ridiculous!!! Even when you have proof they misrepresented (false advertisement) the item showing the stock photos and not clearly showing the item you actually get. I hope they get shut down! They are theives stealing from people!!!

Come bid on crap!!!

You need to check everything that you get from here. I have been burned so many times and when you complain that tell you that you should have checked before leaving location. I purchased a mirrored vanity that said good condition. It had NO legs and the mirror was broken all over the vanity. I purchased a brand new vanity mirror that had no plug to turn it on. My mixer did not turn on. My carpet scrubber had dirty water and that was listed as good condition. I was told when I complained that good condition can have parts missing or broken. Why is this not listed as is? The dog bed was half eaten by a dog. Be aware of what you bid on and don't leave until every box is opened and checked. I'M done!!!

SHAME ON YOU BIDFTA.COM

At some point there is an acceptance of TRUST that your company will not falsely advertise a product they had NOT inspected. They show have reported it it as Unknown condition. As I stated I did not have the tools to open the plywood crate and when I asked the location they did not have the tools either. A $300 pice of trash because I trusted Bidfta.com to truthfully state the condition. I deal with Hibid.com and they will let you return a product in a week. I vote Hibid the absolute winner for truthful, honest practices. They know they don't want to be misleading and customer satisfaction is top priority.

Bidfta.com would allow a refund one day for an issue but not another. I don't understand. I see the only difference being an unsatisfied customer and you showing true colors of a deceptive company.

Wrong items, no refund, rude staff

Wrong items, they put sticker on wrong box's I was stuck with expired coffee I never bid on. They would not refund, or assist in anyway. Guitar I bought was broke in half photos intentionally left that part out. Did nothing to assist or refund. Customer service is the worst I've ever experienced and many of the staff on location are rude and unhelpful. U mean extremely rude, and bitter. Like they cant stand their customers

WATCH YOUR BACK!!!!!!

WATCH YOUR BACK… YOU TAKE YOUR CHANCES HERE!!! What you think you’re buying may NOT be what you’re buying! I thought I was buying a greenhouse & pics (of the whole greenhouse) were posted as such!!! HOWEVER I was only buying box 3 (of 3) of this greenhouse!!! Because I didn’t notice this in the “fine print”= No Refund! Now I only have greenhouse panels!

CHECK, CHECK & TRIPLE CHECK THE FINE PRINT THAT WILL SCREW UP YOUR PLANS IF YOU DON’T CHECK EVERY DETAIL!

They DON’T like to make refunds! We did get a refund for another item today, after some work, that was posted that I was supposed to be buying 3 boxes but there was only one box for pickup so they had to process that one.

Took a while to sort this out!! What a fiasco that I don’t care to repeat.

I bought an espresso machine for 25.00…

I bought an espresso machine for 25.00 planing to pick up 8/22 or 8/23. Checked the times and both days open till 6pm. It didn't work out but I had to go to cvg airport Monday 8/26 before 6pm. I got to Walton store at 4:15 and gate was locked. I drove again from warsaw arriving before opening time of 12pm. Had never been there before and could not find my item. The young lady looked at my receipt and informed me I had to pick it up yesterday. I told her I was unaware of 4pm closing yesterday and what could have made any difference between yesterdays closing and today's opening when the store was closed. She said even if I do find it you can not take it. its our policy. To me that is stealing or extremely shady at best. I will see if american express agrees with me.

Watch out

Watch out, pool heater was advertised as 70,000 btu unit. Unit bought was maybe 13,000. They will not accept return even though total false advertising and rating listed unit as good condition.
Avoid this company unless you want to totally unpack whatever you bought while at warehouse (and who knows what would happen even then)

Be careful

Be careful! While some items are good deals some may be a stinker. I purchased a ceiling fan, listed as bran new. The box looked unopened, the motor on the fan does not work, it is shorting out to the case. They have a no return policy once you leave the building. Items the require assembly or electrical tested can not be fully inspected. Buyer Beware

Bin Store

I went to the Strongsville location to pick up an item and it happen to be the opening of their bin store.
I ask the women how it worked. All bins on Mon. are $7, Tues. $5, Wed. $3, Thurs. 1 and Fri. $.50. There was some amazing deals in these bins. I was elated that I got a new Chome book for $7. They had ton of items in these bins from new car parts, light fixtures, pet supplies, etc. I highly recommend checking it out.
