We did the Golden Triangle plus Ranthambore with BIT in April after talking to Sanjay at a travel exhibition. Bespoke India Travel deliver a personalised service which I could not recommend the. highly enough, particularly for those considering a first time trip to India. We spoke to Sanjay a number of times ahead of the trip who tailored the holiday exactly to meet our needs and it is this personal approach that makes them stand out from other operators.

The transfer service and excursions were seemless, very well organised, and made our multi-stop trip effortless. We usually like to organise our trips, transfers, and excursions ourselves, but we werevery happy to hand that over to BIT which allowed us to focus on the experience without the stress of negotiating travel and entrance tickets. All of the hosts, home stays, hotels, BIT transfer staff, and our driver were excellent. When we next go to India we will go with Bespoke India Travel.

We were 3 siblings meeting up from all corners of the globe and Anil from Bespoke India Travel organised a fantastic trip for us in both Kolkata and Bhutan. The accommodation, guides and drivers and meals were marvellous. Our 6 nights in Bhutan were wonderful with a mix of historic sites, Buddhist temples and hiking. Hiking to Tigers Nest followed by a hot stone bath, visiting the wildlife rescue park in Thimphu and the fertility temple near Panakha were highlights. Almost everything was covered in the tour price and the daily arrangements were seamless. The guide went out of her way to ensure local events were not missed.

As a solo senior female traveller it is important to be able to trust your travel agency who needs a good understanding of your “wish list”. I had already been to India and Kerala several times and wanted an off the beaten track vacation not repeating sites I had already visited. Hotels are not my favourite so I asked for ‘manageable’ hotels and/or homestays.
Followed a lot of email exchanges between Anil in India from Bespoke India Travel and myself in France and he managed to craft a fantastic itinerary respecting my requests as far as possible and his suggestions added to the richness of my 5 weeks in India. My itinerary started in Kerala, going on to Tamil Nadu and via Hampi ending up in Gokarna, Goa.
I had two excellent drivers, especially my second driver, Mr Prince, was outstanding and a good companion over 15days, doing everything to turn my trip into one of my best holidays ever. Between him and the office no matter was too big or too small and there was always a quick solution/response.
Every guide in every destination was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
A great thank you to “Bespoke India”, Anil, the home team, the drivers and the guides for having made my trip a truly wonderful experience.
And sorry for the delay in giving my review – am already busy looking into my next tip, probably to Shri Lanka…

Bespoke India is just that, Sanjay’s knowledge, skills and advice enabled us to have the most wonderful 3 week trip to India - which started in the North and ended in the South.
After meeting Sanjay and a number of follow up conversations he put together the perfect itinerary.
There was every attention to detail (including dietary requirements). All our accommodation was perfect and an experience on its own. Our drivers and guides were all knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and professional as were the team on the ground in India.
I would highly recommend Sanjay at Bespoke India it was definitely a 5 star experience.

On receiving an invite to a wedding in Lucknow, I decided to make a special
trip and travel bespoke. From the moment I contacted Bespoke India and spoke with Sanjay I knew I was ‘in good hands’. The outline of my trip was quickly decided and Sanjay set to work on the final details.
I was delighted with the destinations, Hotels and flights chosen. From the first moment in Dehli, I received the best care and attention, from the friendliest, caring team…..everything ran like clockwork, at airports and Hotels. My driver from Udaipur through to Jaipur, was fantastic…calm, considerate and a good companion over eight days. The attention to detail was second to none, guides at every destination truly a ‘fount’ of knowledge bringing each city to life…..making my journey through Rajasthan a delight and the final stop to Lucknow also knowing that the team in each city was there to ensure all was well. I will contact Sanjay for my next trip to India….from my first day to my last day back in Delhi, a member of his team made sure that I was looked after….truly a magical holiday! We had a great time in Bhutan. I want to especially commend our guide Chimi Dorji, and our driver Tashi. Chimi was informative and entertaining and massively helped us understand the country. He went out of his way to give us what we wanted - 2 great examples being that we wanted to try out archery (the national sport) which we did - and also the Bhutanese variant of darts, great fun - and we were keen to see a festival. In the latter case he gave us the choice of the drive to Gasa or a trip to the local festival, we chose the latter, it was a great experience.

In a short trip it is difficult to see Central and Eastern Bhutan. I have been there before, and exited the country across the land border into India in the East. Most of the obvious sights are in the West anyway (Punakha Dzong, Tiger's Nest) but one of the attractions of the country is the remote and wild places off the beaten track, and it was hard to get a feel for that in the Thimphu - Punakha - Paro circuit. Maybe when east-west air connections are better, a future trip would go Paro - Thimphu (probably deserves only one night's stay to be honest) - Punakha and then eastwards by road and ultimately back by air to Paro.

Anyway we had a great time in the lovely country that it is, the hotels were very good and all the arrangements worked smoothly. Thanks to Anil Chauhan for making it work for us!

Recently returned from nearly 3 weeks in Kerala and then Mumbai. Everything was highly organised; hotels, drivers, meals, tours and guides etc. Would highly recommend Bespoke India!

We had a 3.5 week holiday in India, organised by Sanjay of Bespoke India.
Our first week was spent in the north west in Punjab and Shimla. We travelled by train to Delhi to fly on to Mumbai for a city break. This was followed by 12 days in Kerala which had great variety- beginning at Fort Cochin, then on to the Western Ghats, including a beautiful memorable homestay. The houseboat was also a highlight.
Sanjay listened to our “Wish List”and then crafted a fantastic itinerary, and all his suggestions added to the richness of our time in India. We had two excellent drivers, especially our Keralan Driver, also called Sanjay, who really looked after us. Every guide in every destination was superb – welcoming, friendly and very knowledgeable.
We look back on this holiday as one of our favourites – we are incredibly grateful to Sanjay and Bespoke India.

We've recently returned from a 40-day trip organised by Sanjay. The trip was amazing, as was Sanjay's energy, professionalism, and insight in advance of the trip. In addition to the excellent planning and briefing in advance, Sanjay's 'on the ground' team in India were excellent too - helping us to make occasional adjustments as we went. No matter was too big (or too small) for them. We'd thoroughly recommend Sanjay and Bespoke India Travel and will certainly book with them again.

My wife & I returned recently from a three week journey through Northern India.
From the outset,Sanjay at Bespoke India Travel was available to offer advice/suggestions regarding our itinerary and always listened to our ideas/requests.
The holiday itself was faultless,from the quality of accommodations,organisation of the various train journeys and the quality of guides at all locations.Special mentions must also be given to Aman in Delhi,who kept in contact throughout our trip,and Chandrapal,our excellent driver who took us everywhere,safely and considerately.

Great holiday in Kerala organised by Anil at Bespoke Travel. The itinerary was well planned and varied, the booking process was easy and efficient, with plenty of flexibility to work round our requirements. The hotels were lovely, our driver great, everyone was friendly and welcoming. Recommend!

We had a wonderful time in India thanks to Bespoke India Travel. It is a fantastic country and the itinerary Sanjay at Bespoke put together for us was perfect. We started in Mumbai and then toured Kerala. The itinerary allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the culture of the country and enjoy some fantastic experiences. The people are all so friendly. The food was great and the wildlife interesting and varied.

All the Bespoke representatives and the guides were excellent and enthusiastic about what they were doing. All were very helpful and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the excursions they arranged more than met our expectations.

We enjoyed all the hotels although the Spice Tree was probably our favourite.

Our driver was a star. He was more than a driver. He was very accommodating and served as a constant guide with his knowledge of the area, the people and the local customs.

Thanks Bespoke, for making sure we had a wonderful experience.

Just returned from a fantastic 23 night trip to Mumbai, Rajasthan and Kerala arranged by Sanjay. We already had an itinerary and prices when I came across BIT at the Destinations show. On a whim I asked them to quote and they were £5,000 cheaper for a higher spec than a well known company! Having read the reviews we were confident to proceed and so glad we did. Our guides and drivers in the different areas were outstanding; we experienced a wide variety of styles of accommodation from deluxe 5* hotels both large and boutique, to homestays with delightful host families and wonderful food. We are already thinking of a trip to Sri Lanka next year with BIT

Have just returned from our second India trip organised by Bespoke India Travel. This was to Rajasthan and as before the organisation was fantastic with great support from local guides and especially our driver, Uday.

Balance of itinerary between travel, sightseeing and rest worked very well resulting an enjoyable and memorable trip.

This is our third trip with Bespoke India Travel and on this occasion we explored Southern India. The whole holiday was seamless, with exceptional hotels, guides and our wonderful driver Manoj. Ritika was our contact in India and was in touch almost daily. All hotels recognised we were celebrating a special occasion and suprised us with gifts and excellent service as did Ritika. I can’t say enough good things about BIT, this is the Company to use, as Sanjay is meticulous in his planning, listens to what you have to say and ensured that each of our trips has been holiday of a lifetime. Compared to the stellar UK agents we work with to travel in Africa and South America, this outfit is third rate at best. Avoid them unless you love overpaying for a bespoke holiday that ends up being very different to the itinerary you contract with them to provide at the time you pay your deposit.

Booked a 35-day photography trip 13 months ahead with Bespoke India Travel – requirements were private vehicles, two daily game drives in seven National Parks. A simple brief for other agents we’ve used, but what did we get this time? An accommodation change to a cheaper property within 24 hours of paying the deposit, a jarring replacement to “Peregrin Edventures” four weeks before travel (after the final balance paid of course), slashed drives, forced into activities unsuitable for a photography holiday, and a homestay where the owners crashed what were supposed to be our private outings. Paid £2500 for an “expert Naturalist” whose expert qualifications turned out to be a sociology degree and being the daughter of the freeloading Homestay couple at the earlier National Park. A great local guide could’ve been booked without the extras. Worst? They ghosted us whenever these issues happened – phones off, agent supposedly “stuck on a plane” etc.

***My review is accurate and provided to inform travelers. The agents response, with a thinly veiled insinuation that I’m to blame, mirrors the evasive tactics and lack of accountability that defined our trip, just as I have described. ***

I couldn't recommend Bespoke India highly enough. Their suggestions about our itinerary in Rajasthan were excellent and they were flexible in including exactly what we wanted. Sanjay and Anil were able to come up with fully costed options for us very quickly and were always happy to talk things over with us. The trip itself was fantastic. The local reps and guides were excellent, the organisation was seamless, the accommodation and the hosts were charming and our driver, Raju, was great. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he seemed to anticipate all of our wishes!

Bespoke India was top-notch in planning and then supporting me through my first visit to India. Himanshu Joshi worked carefully with us on 2 segments of this trip (one with a companion and one alone). Both planning and execution were impeccable. The drivers and guides were excellent.

Most valuable was the fact that Himanshu ensured that I was well looked after when I was traveling on my own. As a single woman in my 60s, I felt safe and supported. My entire trip was splendid.

We had a perfect 3 week trip to India organised by BIT

We gave Sanjay an outline of what we wanted to do (touring Punjab & Rajasthan) plus our budget and he came back with a full schedule which included guides, drivers, trains, flights, hotels, and a full range of destinations and venues.
The result was a range of experiences and sights which we wouldn’t have discovered had we organised the trip ourselves.
On the ground, the local team couldn’t be faulted - they were there to meet & greet at every stop and we’re available should we have needed to call on them. We felt in very safe hands.
Rather than stay in corporate hotels, we went for ‘home stays’ which are smaller, privately owned hotels - we recommend this as the accommodation is of excellent quality but has the benefit of being a more authentic experience.
Highly recommended
