I liked the program

I liked the program, and I get the idea: to be present and aware in all that you do. I did find some of the exercises to be sort of silly....I mean, mindful sitting? That's just me, and I did it anyway, but it felt silly. All in all though I'm glad my Program Leadership Team chose Be Mindful as part of the curriculum.

Taking part in the Be Mindful programme…

Taking part in the Be Mindful programme has been a truly positive experience. It gave me the tools and space to slow down, make time for myself, and find a sense of calm in the midst of a busy life. The course helped me to become more aware of my thoughts and actions, and to approach everyday activities—like eating, moving, and thinking—with greater mindfulness. I now feel more present, more in control, and more compassionate towards myself. I’d really recommend it to anyone looking to reconnect with themselves and create lasting, meaningful change.

Lacked authenticity

I liked the reminders throughout the week to help stay accountable. It is a good platform but overall it doesn't feel very authentic, everything feels very scripted and forced. I can't connect to the voices or the audio because of this.

There was also too many tasks to implement throughout the week which made it overwhelming.

Very helpful and kind

They provided a step-by-step guide, which makes following the process easier.
The instructions are clear, and there's no obligation to follow through according to the program's schedule- it's totally adjustable, which helps in lessening the amount of guilt I feel whenever I'm too tired to do any of the tasks.

It was an all-encompassing rejuvenation…

It was an all-encompassing rejuvenation and re-discovery! I have learnt techniques to monitor my emotions, especially during contingencies. Thank you.

I must compliment the tutors, Tessa and Ed, for their supportive pedagogy. The short videos with detailed exercises helped me draw a better sense of myself and my environment. Thanks.

Keep up with the good practice

I find the program well-structured and designed with dedication. As far as the idea I got I need to keep practicing what I have learned. And I will do my best to keep up with the good practice.

I tried this course a few years ago but…

I tried this course a few years ago but found doing everything on line too difficult . Now I am in a better frame of mind about using the on line service . It is a good course, you do have to put effort into it . It’s not a miracle cure. As with all things practise makes perfect . I am sleeping better and that was my main problem . It’s about bringing your practice effortlessly into everyday life , like cleaning your teeth , showering, making your bed. Also about not punishing yourself if you forget to give yourself ‘ me ‘ time to do it . Take a breath and bring yourself back to you. Your well-being is important.

Really worth doing and helpful

I did virtually the same course over a longer period, c 10 weeks, in person in an evening class about 12 years ago!
It is definitely worth doing and helpful but of course you need to keep practicing!
I just found this a little short compared with what I'd done before - but perhaps that's a bit unfair as it is free after all, and is an introduction, really. Hopefully you will keep it up! Helps with anxiety, feelings of panic etc.

Being mindful informed me of the things…

Being mindful informed me of the things I don't really pay attention to on a daily basis. I just go through the day thinking of the things I need to do or the worries that fill my head with what ifs. I now pay attention to the things I do in the Now. Wheather it's going for a walk, eating a snack or talking to someone. I pay attention to the muscles I use, the emotions I feel and even the things I say with what tone.
