Easy to order experience, but didn’t give me a delivery timeline until I checked out. Other than that minor detail, it was great.

In the early 2000s, I slept on my stomach and began using an air bed from Sleep Something. Back then I pumped it up to over 80 and slept fine. My physician advised me to avoid sleeping on my stomach, so I trained myself to sleep on my side instead. The Sleep Something mattress only had one air bladder on each side so when I let air out so my shoulder would sink a little my hips started sinking causing back pain.
In 2018 I researched and found Air-Pedic air mattress with three air bladders per side. It was perfect supporting my hips while letting my shoulder sink in. Being an air bed it had disadvantages with the changing temps. I had to adjust it every night or it would be too soft hurting my back or too hard hurting my hips and shoulders.
A couple years ago I began a quest to find a non-air bed including memory foam, hybrid foam, and gel grid mattresses. None worked, so I returned to my reliable Air-Pedic.
Fast forward to a couple months ago and I ran across a Back Science internet add and thought “why not give it a try.” When the mattress arrived, I observed it was from the same company as my Air-Pedic shipped seven years ago. When I first slept on the mattress my back started hurting after a few days, so I informed Back Science and Dr Rick called me back to discuss mattress adjustment options. This is when I leaned that he founded both mattress companies. Being short-sighted I began telling him that the only mattress that seem to work for me were air beds. Then he said that if we can get this bed adjusted I wouldn’t have to worry about setting the correct air pressure every night. That would be heaven I thought. He sent some different type of foam that seems to work perfectly well.
Both mattresses that relieve my back pain are from Dr Rick. What are the odds? I highly recommend this mattress because Dr Rick actually tries to adjust the mattress to fit your individual needs.

Customer service is excellent. I was able to speak directly to the owner to get questions answered. Emails were responded to the same day and if I left a phone message they returned my call within an hour.

From the moment I contacted Back Science, their customer service team stood out. I had several questions about whether the Series 3 was the right fit for my combination sleeping style and specific pain issues. The team responded remarkably quickly—often within hours—and provided detailed, thoughtful answers that addressed every concern. They explained how the Series 3’s medium feel (around 5/10 firmness) and targeted support zones could cushion my shoulders during side sleeping while supporting my spine when on my back, directly tackling the soreness I’d been experiencing. Their expertise and attentiveness made me feel valued and confident in my decision.

I have purchased a series 2 mattress. experienced has been good so far. Was able to get the mattress at a discounted price due to their spring break sale. I am currently having lower back pain/stiffness. I will update once I have used it for some time

This should be your first and only STOP if you're in the market for a new mattress!
Dr. Rick-THE BEDUCATER, is extremely knowledgeable and helpful! His mattress quality is second-to-none.
We have been sleeping on our Fibro-Pedic for the past 12+ years and decided to upgrade to the Back Science 2 Series Model.
My husband and I are exceptionally satisfied with our experience and the mattress.
We highly recommend Ultrabed and will purchase here again when it is time!

What a pleasant experience, trying out and buying a bed. Lets start with the place itself, HUGE. Their inventory is immense. Salesperson, Luna, totally knowledgeable, pleasant, and not PUSHY!! Was so patient. And finally Dr. Rick, a true gentleman. Bent over backwards to insure we were happy with whatever we decided on. Didn't upsell. Only interested in insuring we bought the best mattress for our body and sleep types. Measured our alignment with each individual mattress. Spent hours with us, helping to design something that worked with our individual needs. Finally the price, incredibly fair. Included pillows, and mattress covers. We also bought a split king adjustable bed frame for a great deal. All in all, a 5 star experience. I'd recommend this place to anyone, including my mother!

I want to thank the staff at Ultrabed for helping with the difficult task of finding the perfect bed. We shopped for beds for about a month going from one store to another only to return to Ultrabed and purchasing the back science bed. The staff were patient and also there to give us guidance with no pressure to buy. We are sleeping well and no longer arising with morning back pain. We thank you.

My husband and I have been having back problems/ constant pain, so we wanted to look for a new mattress at a location with several different options. The people at this location were the absolute best! They took time (hours) to go through every option with us and they really got to know us and what we needed. No rush, no pressure, just friendly, helpful and informative people. We were impressed by the variety of options offered and how knowledgeable everyone was!

Delivery crew did a fantastic job taking matress to the 2nd level and getting the old one.

Great mattress. Its comfortable, and no back pain in the morning! The other nice feature of this mattress is the warranty. They will come to your home and readjust or add more foam for better comfort. You can't beat that. So glad we bought the Back Science Mattress.
