As an employer, they have proven to be quite despicable. After eight months of employment, during which I was never informed that I was underperforming, I successfully completed my probation period without any issues, received a wage increase, and was given a bonus. My supervisor frequently told me that I was doing well, that everyone liked me, and that I was highly regarded.
Upon returning from my holiday, I was not greeted with a "hope you had a great time." Instead, on my first day back, I was informed that I was fired. This action demonstrated a lack of integrity and professionalism from the team. They did not have the courtesy to provide a specific reason, only stating that I had not met their expectations—expectations that were never communicated to me.
This was a junior role, and my supervisor failed to inform me of any underperformance. There was no effort to put together a support plan to help me improve. Instead, I was misled with positive feedback, only to be abruptly dismissed.
I was the youngest person on the team and instead of supporting me I was back stabbed and thrown to the wolves. Not one member of the team had the curtesy to call me or offer their condolences. They should be ashamed. At least now I know what sort of company Ardonagh is and quite frankly I don’t want to work for snakes.
