INCOMPETENT EMPLOYEE

We took my wife’s Dell laptop to Anki Tech the afternoon of March 26, 2024. It would not boot up. Steven, the tech, said he would take a look at it and give us a call. We didn’t hear from him so just before closing we called him to find out if he had looked at it. He said it probably needs a new battery so he would test it the next day. After not hearing from him the entire next day, we called and he said he was too busy with customers to test the battery. So we went to the store to retrieve our laptop. He brought out the wrong laptop. It wasn’t even a Dell. When we pointed that out, he retrieved another laptop which was a Dell but not ours either! Finally he was able to locate ours but he gave us the wrong charger. This person is totally incompetent. He can’t even keep track of which laptop belongs to which customer. We are glad he didn’t actually work on it!

This is absolutely the worst shop

This is absolutely the worst shop, with the most incompetent technicians. Not only did they not fix my computer but they ruined it. I took it to them 3 times over a 3 month period and paid $75 twice, or $150 total for the same repair. My laptop was running slow so I took it to them. They didn't fix it the first time.

I took it back and I don't know what problem they had but they kept it for 10 days and every time I called they told me: " We've had some software issues but we'll fix it for you" I asked what that meant and they informed me that while fixing it they ran into problems with whatever they were doing.

Originally, they were supposed to give me the laptop the next day. Well, they gave it to me after 10 days and the problem was worse. When I took it home the laptop would not start it would only flicker. When I took it back the third time which was 2 weeks after I had paid the second $75, they didn't even want to look at it. They said it was probably the screen and that it would be a more expensive repair. I took my laptop and left. I will be contacting a lawyer and see if I can take them to small claims court.

Buyer beware they are scam artists They take your money but don't have a clue as to what they are doing.

Listen to the bad reviews for laptops

Listen to the other bad reviews for laptops, I wish I had.

Do not take your computer here if you want it back in a timely manner and working condition. They have a can do attitude combined with no follow through and negligence. You’ll save money at first but may have to spend more to fix their mistakes and/or (like me) buy another laptop once they’ve worked on it.

I had my $800 laptop serviced in 9/22. I had to call the store multiple times to just get basic updates, was often placed on hold then never gotten back to. Came in for a screen/bezel repair and left with a laptop that couldn’t be used and lost data (later found that ssd is either fried or the gear it connects to are broken and the keyboard doesn’t function properly).

They told me they’d figure out some solution but I have little trust as their word was not upheld multiple times, they demonstrated lack of care/knowledge, and they never reached out to me after I paid for the service (despite the laptop not being fully useable).
