Excellent, friendly and professional service

I am a long term experienced hearing aid wearer in both ears. For the last 25 years I have been with another high street hearing care outlet but I have had very little continuity with my audiologist which I consider so important. I decided to try All About Hearing in Ipswich for my ongoing hearing care after a family recommendation. My hearing loss is mixed and profound due to both sensorial and conductive loss. I have been delighted with the service I have received since becoming a client of All About Hearing. From my first meeting with Karen Finch I have been put at ease and felt valued as a client. We discussed the scenarios causing me most difficulty, very much in noisy situations such as restaurants, and how I could meet these challenges with the latest GN Resound Nexia 9 hearing aids. Also through better positioning myself with respect my friends and background noise. I am very pleased with the provision, follow up service and advice received and whole heartedly recommend All-About-Hearing to both new and experienced hearing aid users.

Excellent Audiologist

I initially saw Karen in 2012 when my hearing had deteriorated. After a thorough assessment I began using hearing aids which transformed my life. Follow up appointments continually checked my hearing needs and adjustments. I have always had confidence in her caring and knowledge concerning hearing problems and I followed her into her new venture when I needed to update my hearing aids. I am happy to say that I now have new Hearing Aids suited to my particular needs and once again Karen has been understanding and professional in dealing with my hearing loss.
Thank you
Michael

5 Star Ear Wax Removal

Having previously used the excellent Osteopath service at the Gilmour Piper multidisciplinary private healthcare practice, I tried their Hearing Care service on the 17th January 2024.
I had total hearing loss in my left ear and partial hearing loss in my right ear.
My Ear Wax Removal appointment was with Teresa Sadler RHAD FSHAA (Senior Audiologist and Clinical Ear Care Practitioner).
Teresa fully explained the procedure and showed me internal ear images of the ear wax in both ears before and after.
I received excellent pain-free patient care in a relaxing, large treatment room.
Teresa was polite and friendly in a professional manner. She was empathetic, caring, kind and gentle with excellent people skills. Her knowledge and expertise in the hearing field are exemplary.
Following successful treatment, I now call her the Hearing Guru.
Excellent professional private healthcare at a value for money pricepoint

What a great service

I first met Karen many years ago when she was just starting out on her new adventure. At the time I was extremely impressed with her knowledge and understanding of everything related to hearing and the ways to improve my significant hearing loss.

At the time I didn’t proceed with any hearing aids. That was the biggest mistake ever because I was struggling in meetings which obviously made me look inefficient and quite honestly because I was not hearing clearly I ended up guessing what had been said and giving the wrong responses. That of course reflected on me as it could have been assumed that I didn’t know my job or didn’t know what I was talking about or did not have the answers, which of course I did, had I of heard the question!

Why did I not proceed, I guess it was a vanity thing or the thought that I would be embarrassed to be wearing hearing aids. But looking back it was far more embarrassing cupping my ears trying to hear what was being said and even then still not grasping things. Of course even back then the hearing instruments were unobtrusive and very discreet and certainly nothing to embarrassed about, if only I had the sense to realise that! Now they are even better than ever.

It was not until I retired in 2015 that common sense prevailed and I went back to see the audiologists in Karen’s practice. I was looked after in a very professional and efficient way and it totally changed my life. I could now hear and join in with conversations and of course my quality of life increased as a result.

It was then with great sadness that I learnt that Karen, through necessity, had sold the business. The takeover resulted in the company becoming, what I deemed to be, a multi national concern who were spending vast amounts of money on advertising in newspapers and even on TV.

Having been subjected in the past to mail drops offering me appointments and even giving me a date and time to attend this was not what I wanted. I want to make these decisions for myself and have no wish to have the impersonal service that I believe the larger companies give. I did continue with the new company, although I did not know about the change of ownership as I was not told until later, just because of the better the devil you know mantra.

But probably two years on my wife was listening to Radio Suffolk when who should be on the airwaves but Karen. Karen was relating her story and it transpired that she was missing being able to help the with peoples hearing loss and she was starting off in business again and All About Hearing (AAH) was born. My wife and I were delighted to hear the news as we enjoyed the friendly and professional service we had received from Karen in the past.

I immediately transferred to AAH and the service that I have received has been first class. If anyone has a hearing loss or is finding difficulty understanding conversations please do not do what I did. I decided I could do without hearing aids when quite frankly they were a necessity. And that has proved so true as now I am not missing out on things that those with better hearing take for granted.

There is no need to be embarrassed when seeking advice as Karen and her fellow audiologists will put you totally at ease and will give you their best advice in a friendly and professional way. They treat every client with compassion and their main objective is to ensure that you end up with the best possible outcome to compensate for your hearing loss. This personal service in my opinion can not be replicated by the multi national companies.

Hearing aid technology has moved on quickly and Karen has now fitted me with the latest technology hearing aids and I am very happy with the outcome.

There are now many solutions for all types of hearing loss so there is no need to suffer in silence.

Do not make the same mistake as I did all those years ago please do get any hearing loss you may have sorted.

In my opinion there is only one place to go and that is All About Hearing, you will not be disappointed.

Excellent!

I cannot fault the care and attention given by All About Hearing at Gilmour Piper. After finding difficulty with a past hearing aid, Karen made a full assesment and advised what would be best for me. Her attention to detail and my well being was second to none.
I can highly recommend AAH......excellent care.

Really impressed

We are really impressed with the help and guidance we've been given for mum. She's over the moon with her new aids. She'd never had digital ones before and they have transformed her life. Can't recommend highly enough. The after care service is also brilliant visiting mum in her own home such a lovely touch.
