This was our first time using someone to care for our disabled child besides family. So needless to say, we were very nervous. I was interviewing people and I just so happened to come across a post on social media about Amanda’s company. When I reached out to her and explained our situation she was very empathetic and understanding. Amanda offered to come to our home so we could meet her and get comfortable with her, as well as meet our son to ensure she was comfortable caring for him as well. She treated my son with respect and engaged with him as if he were “typical”. She took down notes and asked us questions. Ultimately we decided to move forward with her services.
The day of the event, she arrived at our home earlier than scheduled to ensure we could communicate the plans or any concerns. She reached out to provide us with updates and check-ins to put our minds at ease so we could enjoy the event and have peace of mind knowing our son was okay.
We will use Amanda again the next time we need professional services.
